Online Mod Support

Since we have been let down with the TCP/IP. (Since hacking, botting & Trigs(PvP Hack) are already out there. I can’t see any reason for us not having this feature.

Would it be possible to have online mod support directly via blizzard servers like Open Battle.net used to handle mods on Legacy D2?

Like, how hard would it be to add a MPQ dropdown menu and play with other users sharing the same MPQ’s?
(If I recall Starcraft had a similar feature to support Leagues on Battle.net.)

Or we could huh? Borrow PoE ideas of private leagues (Instead of leagues we get mods)

The modding community is growing quite at an impressive pace lately and we have some pretty mods already out there waiting to be played by groups of people! Hell even people trade with exchanging save files because that’s legit the only way to trade right now…

I beg you in the name of the modding community (what especially kept your game relevant for all those years) to reconsider your stance on supporting online mods/TCP IP feature.

Thank you.

I would like to get something like minecraft realms, self managable small servers with some mod support and ability to invite some people to play there.

That would be awesome!

Way better than changing stuff to the original game in a specific way, that will disappoint 19 out of 20 different people in the end.
Allow mods so that all 20 different kind of people can play the game the way the want to.

YES. If PD2 could be utilized through Bnet on D2R I’d drop standard D2:R instantly …provided I could carry my current characters directly over anyway.

Blizzard wont support mods in d2r.

Would love to see TCP/IP return or at least some form of modded multiplayer, agreed!

Blizzard wont support mods in d2r.

They already do.
