i took a break from june 2022 until now. My complete shared stash is empty. I played online ladder and had dozens of high value items like hellfore torches, annihilus, gheeds fortune charms, rune words and “meta” gear for multiple characters like hammerdrin, trapsin and mf sorc in there. Is this a bug because of the season change? All my characters were ladder. Is the whole stash actually and purposefully deleted because i skipped a season and didnt withdraw the gear in time from the withdraw-only stash to my “real” one?!
It’s not a bug but an effect happening by season changes. You said you took a break since june 2022. Back then was 1st season, right? Right now the 5th season is on so you missed at 4 season changes.
Now what happens during season changes?
- ladder characters will become non-ladder characters.
- ladder shared stash becomes a non-ladder shared stash you can only remove gear from until the next season change.
Now when the next season change happens, any previously converted ladder shared stash does vanish to make room for the current ladder shared stash to be converted into a non-ladder shared stash. This means there is a timelimit how long previous ladder gear can be recovered for non-ladder play.
