Old Characters...where are they?

Hi there, migjt be a bit of a n00b question…but if I log back on to amd reinstall my old D2 account from around 1999 or whenever it was that I was first playing…will my characters still be there?

Old D2 accounts required to login at least once every 6 months to remain online AFAIR. Accounts that did not see logins for said timespan were deleted.

There: no old characters.
