Offline difficulty scaling

I’m having a little trouble understanding the mechanics of level scaling, I get the basics and what it allows players to achieve forcing the game to think there’s more players within the game then there actually is, and I get the “No item drop roll” and that increasing the difficulty lowers the chances of getting nothing from a enemy But I mean in terms of rewards

  1. by increasing level difficulty, does this change or increase my sets, unique possibilities? I’m running 503 MF, will I get a better return on sets and uniques compared to playing on difficulty 1 from a Champion or the other high level mob? (I forget their group name. I believe they are above a champion level)

  2. What level would you set it on for Bosses? I’ve been playing Andy on players 3,and Diablo on players 8…i can’t make it to Baal yet or Pindle yet so I primarily farm Andy, Mephisto and Diablo as my bosses… What I’m finding is Andy is decent, Mephisto keeps giving me the exact same items and diablo… Diablo sucks for drops so badly. Which level allows me to get the best return?

I found the same thing with offline play. However, you will get your best chances for loot in hell or act 5 nightmare at the least. Andy’s drops can range greatly from just getting a potion to 4 or 5 items duriel is just a pain in the butt and is only worth farming if you have super high resist and can’t be frozen, other wise he is a waste of time just like diablo. He has always dropped the worst stuff. Beat thing I ever got from diablo in hell was nagal ring… Years ago. In my opinion you are better off being a patriarch or matriarch then a champion but champion is better than slayer Loot wise. If you can do cow do what I do. I farm…
Bishiboshi in cold plains, Tristram and rakanichu in Stoney field treefist in dark wood, countess in he forgotten tower
All the minions northeast of the inner cloister waypoint, then Andy, I also hit up the summoner in act 2, and of course travical and meph. I’ve always had amazing luck with those. If you can, bloody runs on the bloody foothills up to eldrich just past the first waypoint. Shenk and eldrich are also good and fast to farm. Anyways, I hope this helped in some way. Also try dropping your mf to just below 500. If it doesn’t show improvements just change it back but I found the high the number closest to the hundredth gives me the best mf. So in this instance you would be better with 499 than 510. Try it out and see what happens cause it worked good for me.
