When you advertise a game as cross progression, this needs to take in account all aspects of the game. If I travel, I play on my laptop and when I’m home I like to sit on my couch and play on my PS4 Pro. This should also include my offline characters. I’m not sure the actual cap for offline characters but I’d like to be able to create at least 1 character for each “set” in the game, in which there are currently 32. You can only create 20 characters online. Playing offline is so fun because everything you find is 100% legit. You can try any build or game play style you want. Being able to create characters to fulfil this is what makes the game so much fun. Wear the set and fill in the other pieces with only things you have found. How far can you push your toons? It’s silly that if you want to do this yet bought both versions that Blizzard limits you to just one platform when they stated the game will be cross progression. Please allow cross progression for your offline characters.
How in the world would you accomplish that? Your offline files are stored on your hard drive; the only way to have cross progression is for the files to reside on a server, i.e. the online characters. Why not do as you’ve described with the classic sets first, and then with the expansion sets?
Cars NEED to fly.

Not good enough, I want timetravel!
It could work just like “cloud saves” on Steam. Single player games would send a backup of the local save to a Blizzard server which you can then access on other devices. It’s not an “online character” because you aren’t playing it online. You’re just backing up your save.
Talk to Doc Brown for that, maybe he’ll take you Back to the Future
