Well, as the title say, i lost my 76lvl sorceress and almost two weeks of play, many good for the lvl items. My ps5 decided to go black screen after few Andy runs today and crash the game with something go wrong error.The black screen happened 2 times in 15min interval but the second time was the crash. The screen was black but the game was running, there was the sound of enemies attacking me, so i pressed the inventory/menu and navigated to the “save and exit”. At that moment the console crashed. After restarting the game i was surprised with the nasty message of data lost and now my sorceress is no longer available on the character selection like he never existed. WTF? Can i do something to recover my character?

You are lucky your console is working.
There were instances of people who had similar hard crash and ps5 could not rebuild its database after that.
Well, the crash was on the game only not the console itself. The game just crashed and the console just say something went wrong. This is very disappointing. Maybe will start another sorserecc, but maybe after blizz release some fix. This crap happened just after yesterday update. Maybe they will fix it asap. If its not a game bug and its console problem, the freking thing will go for warranty repair/replace. One thing i didnt mentioned above is after the screen went black, at the bottom right corner the logo of diablo2 was still isible and active. The save thing was active as well (it showed few times befor the crash), so the video output of the console wasn’t the isue.
This happened to me earlier this morning. I didn’t lose my entire character but I was set back 10 levels and my save data was corrupted. I downloaded a cloud save to overwrite the local ps5 save data and that brought me back to the correct level. I did still lose the progress from my game session but at least it wasn’t the entire character. This was in offline mode.
