Obsession needs mana per kill instead of % mana regen

I already said this in a few replies to other threads but I thought I put this here.

Remove the regen mana and replace it with 10-15 mana per kill.

I tried to play with the staff and it’s pretty impossible without drinking mana potions all the time. You won’t have much inventory space by this time in the game and it’s just annoying.

Lots of people disagree about whether the power level of the staff is too low, too high or just right. Adding mana per kill will not change the power level and won’t change PvP at all. It’s just a quality of life change so that you can actually play the game on PvM without running out of mana all the time.

The % regen does nothing at the moment since you’d have a point in warmth with a bunch of plus skills. The percent from the staff is not that much of a boost.

From what I have seen most people agree it needs a little something extra. I like the mana per kill idea, coupled with life per level for scaling and synergy with +% life and personally a + 4-5 skill variation (or just +5 to make it better than 2 spirit)

I agree with you but I just want to point out the place where we should all be able to find common ground.

I think it also needs a bit more power or at least match the total FCR of HOTO+Spirit. 10% less FCR is not nothing and difficult to make up for. If I’m going to trade that off I need some extra power in terms of another + skill as you said or -10% enemy resist for it worth it.

Still I didn’t want another thread about power level. It’s covered by others. I just wanted to point out the sustain on the staff is not sufficient as it is. I’m not going to keep a bunch of mana potions in the inventory just to farm at the end game. It doesn’t give the +mana of spirit or the mana per kill of occy.
