Hello,
Since the last patch the game start with a black screen and crash. I read the blz logs and saw :
[Render/4] [<>:0]: NVIDIA DLSS not available on this hardward/platform., FeatureInitResult = 0xbad00000, info: NVSDK_NGX_Result_Fail
I have a Win10Pro, I7-950 (no AVX) and a RTX 3060 that support DLSS. I updated NVIDIA drivers to 472.12 since they seems to improve things for D2R but it doesn’t solve anything.
Before the patch, I had the same issue as others report here (press play > launching > play again). Beta was running fine.

Had this issue after updating my Nvidia drivers yesterday. I have two video cards on my system, a 2070 for normal stuff and a 2080 RTX for my games.
Same issue, black screen – could hear audio and see my d2 cursor hand. I then had an idea of maybe forcing my D2 game to use the 2080 (since I had not done this yet).
I had to set this in two places… the Nvidia control panel, under Manage 3d settings, and then in Windows 10 > Display Settings > Graphic Settings.
This many not be a fix for everyone, but that’s what at least fixed it for me.
