Nova looks really far from Diablo II’s Nova. I really would love to see a more true to original visual with more of a ring of lighting and less of a charged bolt style ring.
even the original nova looks staticy on the edges and doesn’t appear smooth. So to me it seems more true to the original the way it is. I also love the other lightning visual effects, now they won’t clutter the screen as much. When you have high FCR and are spamming 24 bolts or lightning you will appreciate the lightnings new visuals much more. Especially with multiple Lite Sorcs and/or Lite Trapsins in the same game.
We actually have higher resolution textures to work with now. So they don’t need to exaggerate the effects and features of creatures and spells in order to portray them in 2D. That’s why the lightning seems much less exaggerated and more realistic now, as it should.

I like the look of nova, I think Blizzard is the only skill that I really want changed so far.
I was super excited to see how blizzard was going to look.

I watched mrllama and I disagree with how inner walls were bugging him, I liked that a lot more it opened the actual “tomb” ext you were in more
Wasnt a huge fan of it myself but not everyones gonna agree on this—I cant really tell though as I only saw llama running it and his OBS was kind of framy all day. I hope I get in so I can see how the game runs on my 2080ti and i9!!
I think all the lightning skills look okay, but I would expect less blue and more white light.
I think frost nova is one of the best looking cold spells.
I think frozen orb should be more of a spinning orb and less of a spiked ball.
I think blizzard should have some mist and wind effects and the ice should fall from higher up so it can have a faster animation, but maintain the correct timing
Cold Nova looked awesome, I think Light Nova needs a bit of work, make it a bit thicker like its classic version and less, staticky? If that makes sense.

Right down to the pressure sweep wave that follows the static discharge.
These guys nailed the elements.
Even the arrows have trails on them to showcase the feeling of the power of the arrow flying through the air
Only thing that looks bad from the sorc is blizzard and the whole twerking casting animation
i disagree, i think nova and frost nova especially both look great.
I think the chilled effect looks weird though, doesn’t seem like a dark enough blue.
I like the new Nova much more than the original Nova.
Yeah I don’t like the effects of cold or poison on enemies I find it kinda ruins their looks by making them just solid bright green and blue
