Not very fun watching a player cheat to get rank 1 on the boards

And this is based on what fact?

I know what latency is, and so does blizzard. They have servers all over the world to the offset the latency problem such that it is under 100ms pretty much anywhere in NA , majority of EUROPE and Asia. Unless you are routing your connections though a VPN or a lot of unnecessary hops, then that is on you not bliz.

Its the melee that gets stuck have the disadvantage. You are stuck hitting that 1-5 monster’s while the range have ability to hit something else and go else where to pick other things up.

LOL d2 communism. Its call making friends, people are willing to give things to each other to help each other out. You are just slow and playing a end game class at the beginning of the ladder. That is on you, not on anyone else.

And the pitfall of that system is no one is going to play melee, certain class as they just dont do enough damage to begin with. It also dilute the loot pool to the point you make grinding 10x harder. Because if you dont want to dilute the loot pool and flood it with times you get 1/x of the drops. In the same system I proposed, I can purpose make you get nothing though out the whole run. 1 hit from a hdin thats 30-35% health gone. Any caster can easily denied you loot.

“im not as good or dedicated as other people are and im mad about it”

i think is what you meant to type when you made this thread.
these people prepared, they made friends, they put themselves in the position to be able to grind like they did, and they learned everything they could about a game thats been around for 20 years. you didn’t. get over it lol. you never had a chance to compete to begin with, just play the game and have fun

I mean I think you’re complaining for no reason. I’ve known several in game D2 players that had many people helping them get 99. Whether it was finding them xp shrines, setting Diablo or Nith etc. Who cares?

If someone wants to do a marathon and sleep 5 hours out of 48 it’s their business. I have no problem with that.

If some people want to spearhead someone to rank 1, I have no problem with that either.

The truth is most people who are complaining that they are “robbed” of fair competition would not put the work themselves anyway. They just have a convenient excuse. If it weren’t that, it would’ve been bots. Or server crashes. Or whatever else.

Even if the item donations were removed, I doubt that many would put that much work and coordination to do efficient Chaos and Baal runs.

join a community or make your own and go to the top…stop trying to set unrealistic standards, this is what happens when you tell everybody that everything is for everyone. Crying that ‘someone cheated’ when thats not true and you are spreading false information about an individual won’t get you to the top of the charts, it will however get you a ton of backlash. you are the definition of ‘victim mentality’, you don’t want the spot bad enough to figure it out and instead of dedicating your life you would rather cry. keep crying, it entertains the rest of us while we mindlessly grind reading the forums

so much butthurt in this thread. meanwhile i don’t care about ladder, i’m just lovin my new hydra after the changes and i’m going to be workin up to makin an obsession staff.

OP is just mad because it’s a streamer in the #1 spot, that’s all.

it doesn’t matter, no matter what blizz or anyone does. a group of competitive, organized people will always beat a casual solo person, at ANY competition. if they changed how ladder works, if they changed the rules, etc, it doesn’t matter. the competitive teams will beat you anyway. streamer or not.

if you could get a group of people to help you out, you could compete with them, but you didn’t, so you can’t.

Keep in mind that none of these Diablo streamers are as ‘successful’ as they might appear. Notice how almost all of them are balding and have what you could call ‘dead eyes’.

Even that MrLlama guy, the #1 streamer, is doing a super tryhard combover to hide the balding. Cheating takes a toll mentally and on testosterone levels. And that doesn’t mean buying items, that means using unfair tools whereas the most skilled player on the entire server might be sitting at level 56 right now because he doesn’t want to spam groups.

Its takes no time to get to hell With a group. even solo play you can get through quite fast to hell. its not that hard.

my starting group this season made it in 3h 30min. which for us is a new record. by no means a World record, but still not to bad for a p8.

even solo play by now just MFing a solo player could easily be level 75+ from NM baal, but if your still doing nm baal at 75 you should re-evaluate your route…

If people haven’t figured it out yet this is why we’ve been asking for a solo/SSF leaderboard. We already knew we regular players had no chance. But solo/SSF ladders would mean the streamers couldn’t get carried.

When I clicked on the topic, I expected it to be about someone botting to get to number one.

Instead cheating is… having a community that helps you. Apparently.

OP seems to consider anything they wouldn’t do cheating. That’s not how it works.

I guess im happy cause its not a bot winning, but it is pretty pathetic and disgusting the way everything is hand fed…If it was to a no name guy I’de be fine but its to llama and it just bugs me.

Just a reminder player x command and personal loot would fix a lot of problems with the current design of Diablo II.

There’s also one in “Meat Pie.”

What level toon you got? Do you actually play these games?

The difference between level 25 and 40 in the same time is 7 other people

It still doesn’t fix how broken ladder is. Group of 8 funnels all runes into 1 player who gets infinity. This group now gets multiple times a solo players XP, has multiple auras, and now clears 5x faster as well. The group gets the same xp and item chances in 5 minutes of gameplay that the solo player would get in 2 hours if he’s lucky.

This ladder really just brings to mind WHY Diablo 2 was mostly dead and botted for 20 years. The game is poorly balanced, the XP and loot systems are beyond awful.

I never thought I’d consider Diablo 3 the 6 foot 10 brother of a 5’1 midget that Diablo 2 is, but it is what it is. In Diablo 3 - even with all the botters and groups - a really good solo player can still get top 10-100 on ladder seasons. In diablo 2, the best player on the entire server is probably trying to get thru Trav solo on nightmare lol.

(Actually the worst XP and item system in any game that has ever been released)

I never post on these forums. I came here to see if anyone else has been having issues entering games.

I saw this “topic” and felt like I needed to put my two cents in (even though no one cares lol).

There are people being murdered in this world and you’re worried about some stupid ranking in a game that means nothing? Do you think that being ranked #1 on some game is going to change your life for the better? It means nothing. It is nothing. Outside of living in your own head, not a single person on this planet cares about your ladder ranking.

Come on. Be a human being.

wow dude that’s low. you’re worse than any cheater in my opinion. at least cheaters don’t blame other people for how much they suck, and the streamers aren’t cheating by any definition at all. you’re making excuses and whining over your own inadequacy.

none of the streamers are doing anything you couldn’t do. you could have your friends play the game and funnel you items while the most geared group helps feed you xp. but that would require being nice enough to have friends in the first place, which you’ve shown is beyond your abilities.

Not just 30. Thousands of substitutes to call upon at any given moment. I mean, it’s a novelty run. Not legitimate. A legitimate run would be with a team, and only that team. Needs to have a limit somewhere in at least the double digits of members… not an entire pool of streamer audience to call upon whenever someone wants to make 24/7 bnet players 8.

Stuff like this is why bnet needs a players 8 command.
