Once again the buff is something that will cause all HC players to have another day of…
All sunderbuffs att all time sounds good, but then you see all your res once again go from capped to negative numbers again… Epic fail again…
I nearly died (hardcore) when the new buff was turned on and i was farming travincal. What is this blizzard?!?!!? hangover my foot, stupid!
Made me laugh but surely every game company on the planet has the same ‘problem’?
watch out what you say guys. last time i was banned here for 1 day because i criticized that great idea.
they don’t like people who are against their great ideas.
Why in the hell would they turn off the game for a whole day?!
I wonder how many people realize that those Nose rings some people wear, farmers use them on hogs so they do not burrow under the fence?
Does that mean, new Dclone day tomorrow? Hmmmm
ES sorc ftw
hahahaaa
My god, still cringe political posts on this forum. Ya’ll complain about them making the game too easy with buffs only, then when they add some double edged sword mechanics, ya’ll cry foul and blame politics you don’t like. Use the day as a challenge session, seen a video of uber fights that was cool on that other double edged sword day. Unless of course, ya like to talk the talk about being all oldschool hardcore but can’t walk the walk and rise to the challenge.
If Blizzard are trying to discourage people to play their game then they are hugely successful on this one. Looks like I’m doing something else today.
Well done Blizzard!!
I liked the idea of negative buffs, its only been a couple of them, and catered to those to what an additional challenge without powering down.
Its ok to put the game down for a day and go do something else.
Yeah, the whining is strong here. Blizz is damned if they do, damned if they don’t. ![]()
all sunder charms affecting heros at 100% value is a brainfart. They can make the game more challenging without completely butchering everyone’s heroes. Oh, here’s an idea along the same vein of thought — ‘all enemies are immune to all effects’ — this would still be more challenging but everyone’s not taking 100x the dmg. hardcore players are scuffed lol.
Agree, it’s fine to put the game down and go do something else. I dont have a problem doing this. Seems odd that the game’s developers want to do this though.
Anyhoo, catch y’all later.
No one’s talking about tax policy.
These are anthropological, sociological and cultural observations – applicable to the game management and design itself. Calling everything that surrounds those issues “politics” is a popular way to attempt censorship. Demanding that politics has no place in whatever venue this cope appears.
Seems like the end of the world for some people to let the game rest for a day or two xD
Get a life
“Woke” is primarily becoming used as a derogatory political term, in a political system that has become mostly a culture war (though money and how it effects class structure is still at war). This dude was not meaning it in some philosophical debate way, but as a jab at the current political culture war. With the US going into an election year, this kind of crap will get worse across all mediums; you could be on a forum discussing bird watching, and someone will steer the conversation into this kind of garbage.
Besides, look at all of the livestreams and Blizzcon for the folks that have been representing the Diablo franchise and making the main decisions affecting the games. How many of them represent that description? Rob Gallerani didn’t, nor did Matt Cederquist, nor Rod Ferguson, nor Chris whateverthehellhislast name was, etc. People love to rail on the chicks on the PR video of them badly playing D4, and while it was probably a bad optics decision, those women were not the lead designers calling the shots on the direction of the game. While diversity choices are a part of the development process, it’s not what the main issue that people have with these games are, they have become scapegoats for overall mechanical decisions people don’t like (though, there will always be the jerk that wants to whine about the Amazon model, or the D4 Druid model).
Anyways, my original statement still stands.
It’s not hard to see who ruins games. They think playing coy or dodging the obvious is gonna absolve them from criticism by playing the stupid “muh politics” cope you see from them the second they are exposed. Pretty much 100% of the time when you pinpoint the problem or point a finger they reel back and play the dumbest mental gymnastics possible with the same kneejerk responses.
Bobby Kotick pulled the same garbage anytime he was criticized by people outside his little ingroup.
I agree!
I even didn’t notice it lol
And sure than 99% of people crying here play SC…
I found the “Hangover” buff funny at first… I thought, good humour from them.
But then I thought, no one is going to play! Especially me, a Hardcore player, got to be insane to take that risk! Are they trying to enourage some people to go outside? On a public holiday? Touch grass sort of thing?
Maybe it’s a sneaky way of doing some maintenance. Either way I’m still waiting for the next ladder reset announcement, I’m finished with this ladder at 99, weeks ago.
Well, I was going to buy another D2R copy today, since it’s discounted. Luckily their great idea disallows gifting to email addresses, only to BNet friends. Gave up. Then I saw the “buff” and gave up once again.
Thanks for the gifts, Blizzard. Hope they are returned to you tenfold!
