Not seeing "Diablo Walks the Earth" message

Is there a setting that is preventing me from seeing the message in game? I checked the /uberdiablo, and it went from stage 5 to stage 1 while I was in game, and when I went to Stony Field he was there like he should be… but I never did see the message.

It should say “Diablo has invaded Sanctuary”

Any chance you saw that, but didn’t take note because you were looking for “walks”?

Also you need to be in Game or All, so if you were whispering with someone you might have missed it.

I remember that prior to D2:R, when he walked, the screen would shake and the message would pop up regardless of what ever else you were doing.

But now I have to manually look at /uberdiablo to see status, and when he did walk, nothing happened…

Or is it just that they changed the message to “Diablo has invaded Sanctuary” instead of “Diablo walks the earth”…

I kinda miss “Diablo walks the earth” tbh.

They did change the message and I have not seen the screen shaking either (I remember it from Orig.) But I do see the message “Diablo has invaded Sanctuary” If I look in the “game” chat tab.

If you have screen shake turned off, that might be the reason you don’t get that.

Yup that line hits way harder. The people that wrote dialogue for the original game were good writers.

Compare it to D3: “You will never defeat me!” :rofl:

Gahh don’t get me started on the comic book villains of D3. It was one giant cartoon…

Make sure your game is in hell mode.

For me it went from stage 3 to stage 1 while sleeping. I think you no longer can afk in game for spawn.

I had that happen to me the other day. Even had the message that he invaded as the last message, and after the last “you’ve left the lobby” message. He didn’t spawn tho when I got back to play. Even had another person come in to help me figure it out. Nothing tho. Figured they put a timer on it so he won’t spawn if the invade message happened x amount of time beforehand.

But then others are talking about how they came back today and killed dclone. So I have no idea. Maybe a bug.
