Listen it’s simply not true that you need 1000’s of hours grinding to get end gear for a smiter paladin, that does the Ubers easy.
Do this: first get a blizzard sorc to hell act 3. Do Mephisto runs to gear her up. Then do cow runs to find mid/high runes. And make grief, coh etc.
Respec the sorc to a meteorb sorc to be able to make key-runs. Do the Ubers.
It took me around 150 hours playtime to make the first ubers-run with the smiter.

Thats because the game drops are weigthed. When you see a monster drop a set amulet it has more chances to be everything else than Tals Amulet (i dont know the exact value). This is the same mechanic used for unique rings, amulets and normal/elite/excepctional class items

I’ve got 2 tals ammy and none tals armor… just traded to get armor
