Not enough Character Slots

Will they ever add more character?
i just reached the limit and it felt like
(picking up a pencil that fell under the table and hitting my head under the table after getting it)
coz i want to build more characters.
only have 4 mules and it looks like i have to pick one to delete :smiling_face_with_tear: smiling_face_with_tear:

and delete another after completing that character…

does offline have a character limit? if not i think i would go play offline after filling my online or move on to another game… cough… cough… POE… cough…
Dumb blizzard… cough… cough…

PC offline doesn’t have a character limit, console offline has a 30 character limit.

I hear you though, the 20 character slot limit is ridiculous and should’ve been increased long ago.

yea! the character limit is a _ _ t_ _
but good to know offline does not have limit.
i remember playing d2 lord of destruction at grade 2 and made alot of characters and made alot of stupid builds it was fun  :upside_down_face:

Yeah I ran like 12 accounts. One of the biggest contributions to not playing D2R anymore… is lack of room.

Also, creating another character to use as storage should not be necessary. Storage should be via shared stash tabs, but three tabs falls significantly short imo.

This game can require a lot of time to gain the best gear, and that includes trading, crafting etc. It is very easy to quickly fill the current shared stash, etc. with crafting materials, and items waiting to find an appropriate trade…

Yes! true!
but i think they wont add more to this game as i just saw that diablo 4 is here.
imo Diablo 2 lord of destruction is still one of the best old games im glad that they gave it a new paint which made it better.
ill probably be play less as i already fill all my slots, was a good nostalgia run while it lasted xD

Honestly… I’d say a lot of the stuff up until like 2.2 was “mostly” better. 2.3 had some crap in it, but was “okay.”

2.4 onward? Better? Nah.

Personally I saw launch D2R after the big fixes as a price to be paid for higher fidelity as a lot of features from LoD were removed. As the patches kept coming in I just saw that price getting steeper until it was no longer worth it.

Personally I just keep a version forever frozen at 2.3 on my PC and use it to play single player, and go back to LoD/Mods for some online stuff.

Sadly I used to hate on PoD and PD2 a lot… but these days… I’ll still take then over D2R.

If there HAS to be some sort of end game… I’ll take Maps over TZs any day.

I have 1 slot left and next season will be my last season unless they add more…

202020202020.

i Wonder if will they sell character slots? and if they do you think its good or bad?
imo im ok with paying for that.

Sorry, but storage for your bots/d2store has been limited. Get over it.

Sorry but more storage for your bots is not coming anytime soon.

Sorry you don’t have enough for your bots/d2store, you’ll get over it. But, nice try.

Of course you’re ok with paying for it … it doesn’t cost you anything. You just take it from your d2store profits.

what bots? I just want to be able to make characters for the new season without deleting all my characters I am building up.

big loophole in your reply to wolf and the others

botters can purchase additional accounts…they dont care if the slots are on the same acc or a different one

extra slots on the same account is just QoL + availability for different builds without having to go trough the hassle to transfer items while multi-boxing or risking it by dropping it on ground to transfer to another account char

you sir have a bot obsession…alt-holic exist too…not everyone is single character focused like you are

Maybe we get more slots after D4 got milked. They still think that they can make us buy that burning pile of trash when they don’t deliver on D2R.

Please give us more character slots. We have so many different builds to try.

You know there is a better concept if your true desire is to have numerous types of actual builds … In Guild Wars they had a way to save a current build as a code. You simply called it up and that character would have their skill set that you chose, their armor, weapons, etc. Each character could have numerous builds with major or minute changes … this solves the issue of not enough space to have numerous builds.

I don’t mind if we don’t get load-outs or something like that which would take a lot of work. We just really need more slots. I’m having to delete characters in their 90s to play new builds, and hope that I can trade to get their gear back if I want to play them again.

I’d be happy enough to use reset tokens more if we had more stash space, but there just isn’t enough room for all of the gear and charm variations for the different builds.
