Have been wasting time lobby surfing for a hell baal run. In 2 hours, I’ve managed to join 1 single game, in was carp.
Everything is about trading right now. I guess people with the console pickit don’t have time to play, since they’re grabbing all the loot before it even shows on the screen. Perhaps just as bad, if not worse than bots?
Makes me wonder just how many people are playing this thing??? 
I’ve had no Issues what’s so ever finding any games. Jus keep hitting that refresh button. If that doesn’t work create game screen but don’t create it and go back to the games. It will auto update it. I would also wait a little because everyone and their mothers are in private games. Nobody cares about levels. They want items to trade. Give it a few more days when people get some gear and start pushing levels. Right now it’s 8 sorcs in town scared to tele to throne because they’re 600 life and no gear.
If they had a Runs channel you would see hundreds of baal runs being spammed 24/7. It has nothing to do with how other people are playing, the games list is dysfunctional in its current state with how this multiplayer is meant to be played. You don’t see all the available games (I already tested this with a friend and so have other people).

I wished to Baal there was a separate “Trade” option that you join/search when looking for trade games, and leave “real” games in a different list of games in the lobby. As it stands now, I’m having difficulty locating many games where people are actually MP’ing. This doesn’t feel like a healthy environment.

Except for the 600 life. Not there yet, hence the need for another 10 levels via Baal. My luck has been absolute crap on this game so far. I’ve rolled 3 Insights for my merc, and managed to roll a level 12, 13, & 14… 
Have tried that, and usually end up with all cold sorcs, and no one will tele, as iZZi mentioned. I’ve tried to tele a few times, but the results were not good. Not good at all.
I know it’s early days and all that, but I’m a bit concerned about player counts - especially after the first couple of weeks when the new-to-D2R players rage quit, and when the nostalgia wears off for previous D2’ers, and they leave due to carpal tunnel syndrome of the right index finger…
Well, you’re on to something. I just stopped doing pub games altogether since I realized the pickit/controller loot thing was so rampant. I’m not gonna waste my time “boosting” people who just ninja the loot without giving the rest of us a chance.

When i see that there is not endless ball runs grinding to 99, makes me hope, that maybe botting is minimized , and not that many people are ready for Hell Baal yet.
Perhaps. But, will a great number of players remain in an economy that isn’t bot-lubricated?
We need as many as we can get to buy and stay to keep this game improving.

Maybe at some point if we truly get rid of bots, the drop rates needs to be increased a bit, to make up for the less available items, due to not having 10000 bots farming 24/7
If there are already bots, then they are in priv games, farming. They will increase their FG count on JSP in case they get banned on new bnet. I dont think they will promote themselves like in Original D2, as they want to grab cash as long as they can.
Baalrun will come later, i need to focus on getting some better gear. When ppl will find enigma and make hdin you will see more baalrun in the future. It was too easy with the bots, you join, you follow and bla bla bla. Now ppl need to work together.
I was playing in games where we were doing act 2, all from lvl 17 to lvl 25 players, we were 3 doing the quest and all the others lazy was waiting in town.
It came to a point where people was so lazy with the bots, so for the baalruns, its the same thing, like someone says, they all fear to tele to throne lol. So i found some friend to play with, and we make PRIVATE baalruns, so everybody enter the TP when we make one and come help fight those demons.
And for the drops, in 4 days, played around 10 hours a day, included lvl and rushing my sorc to lvl 84, and i found some pretty nice items like shako, occy, LO , IST and Mal rune dropped, got some pretty nice white items like ETH CV for my merc etc.
Its server gating by region. Im from south america, and north americans cant see SA public games and vice versa. Now there’s literally ZERO nm pub games for HA on america server for me.

This is 1 week into release. Either something is working wrong, or this game is a mass failure.
The game has been out for less than a week. People are still going through the ACT(s)/Difficulties/figuring out what they want to play. Give it some time. 
Careful… the nostalgia police will come in here trying to tell you how the game is meant to be played according to their code of ethics/gameplay book. Which you can find on page 9329, paragraph 24, line 41—multiplayer game lobbies aren’t for gearing. Just leveling. 
Try HC , hardly any games at all over all 3 difficulties, wish i could make a normal char but it just feels wrong , at least hc is exciting and you actually have to be careful…
This game URGENTLY needs separate chat lobbies. I know we all use discord but a ton of casuals do not care at all about joining discord servers.
Also, we need to filter out trade games, holy sht.
naa, too much lag for this. I’d hate dying just because of a 10 second spike.
you are not looking for a baal run. you just want to leech for experience give it some time the game is only a couple of days old

Seriously, I was mostly complaining about the way the lobby lists games - making it quite hard to find a game you’re looking for, as the list is cluttered with trade games.
In this day and age, it seems like asking for some kind of sort function on the games list shouldn’t be too much to ask.

Sounds like you are a leecher. True heroes make baal games and tele themselves. If you are not strong enough for that then farm Den of Evil and don’t complain.
