I’m sure this is a reoccurring thread, does anyone know why when I create games nobody joins. Also there doesn’t seem to be many games available for parts of the gameplay I’ve never had an issue finding like trist/tombs/chaos/baal games.
To further my concerns I tried making tristram games for my buddy, again nobody joined. He created a game to test the theory and it was full before I could join…

Blizzard reduced the game list from 40 to 20 in the last patch. So now people have less chances of seeing your game on their list. That’s most likely whats happening. It’s completely broken.
PD2 solved this issue. I have no idea why no one from Blizzard thought the game list was worth prioritizing. They could have at least followed what the PD2 designer did, especially since he actually has years and years and years of experience with D2.
For christs sake.

i don’t have this issue. I literally called a game “doing stuff” and got a few people join. That lead into a nice party for hell cow running
I agree that the game list is quite awful though.
Would like some sort of a filter - by age, title and even quest status

No, the problem is the regional play. Your stuck in a small pool of players with low population. Just like me. Im stuck in the Canada NE server, its all french players, no games, cant trade…
Refresh list and its the same 15 games. They sold over 5 million copies, but I have to play with a pool of about 2000 players, most of them are bad and have no items to trade.

This makes sense, I’m from ON so that would likely put me on the same server.
This has been a miserable experience after playing on USeast/USwest for 20+ years. I take it there is no way of changing this unless I fiddle with my IP, would using Europe/Asia servers work ?

It’s horrible. Its making the game play miserable and this game is so good to let it fail on such a small easy fix.

I don’t understand how no one from Blizzard seems to understand this. The game is good. The game has potential. The game is one of a kind. Stop f***ing around. If this team was a Valorant or League team they would be BRONZE ranked. Possibly even IRON. That’s how bad the decision making is.

I’m having the same issue. I’m on a NA server (fully populated) and have made numerous games daily, trying to get Baal runs going and literally zero people have joined after 10+ minutes. I eventually gave up. It’s like the game never hits the game list. Kind of hard to level with single player Baal runz… this is broke. I’m always amazed by this dev team. They make changes that make you wonder if they have ever actually played D2 before. All these “UNFORSEEN” impacts on the game. Fix one broken thing and introduce another. I do agree, it’s probably the shorter game list and silly 10 sec refresh cooldown.

I’ve followed a Chaos run before and after the first game showed up on the list, none of the following games ever made it back onto my list (and the game wasn’t full).
It’s just completely flawed. I feel bad for turning into an a**hole poster, but for christs sake, 8 months of a flawed game list is unacceptable. It shouldn’t have even made it to launch.
And I don’t doubt that some of the devs played D2, it’s just that they didn’t have real passion for the game. I doubt they even played it in the last 10 years. I’m only a casual player, but at least I actually ingrained myself in the D2 community years before D2R was even announced, I bet the devs don’t even know who Indrek is.

I was just looking for a Baal run, and one game showed 6 people. I joined and it was empty. OK NP. The same game pops up almost 10 minute later (I can tell by the elapse timed) saying 6 people. I join again and its still empty. SO not only are game not making to the list, the ones there are not updating.

so for the game, they pretty much 100% copied the original to perfection with great graphics making it chef’s kiss…that team did their job well…
and then there’s this ‘bnet’ lobby version which is missing most of it’s features and feels like a pre-alpha beta.
so like, blizz…are you going to friggin finish it any time in the future? are they even going to say something about the broken game list either? everyone knows it’s broken but…blizzard? or is everyone working on phone gacha trash games instead?

It is but it needs to be. People don’t join games I make that say “FREE STUFF” and it’s not because of a firewall issue on my end, as people generally join my games… after like 20 minutes
Blizz really needs to fix this. It ruined the ladder experience.
The only time you actually play with people is ladder launch and I found myself soloing half the time

I just realized many of the Baal runz I do find are ran by bots. Usually around run 30+. So I think what is happening is the game list issue is keeping individuals from making the list, because they give up, while bots keep going and eventually make the list. So the majority of the Baal runz on the list are ran by bots. The ironic part is this is basically Blizzard supporting/enabling botting. lol

I feel that the games Legacy has been tainted with bad decisions. What a useless update.
Going back to the 20 year old game now.
Try changing region? You may have to level a new toon, though.
On the launcher, click the little icon next to where it says “Diablo II: Resurrected” above the PLAY button, and select Americas. You should then play on our servers.
you’re telling me, that this company created a platform for communication and then left? wtf kind of god complex?
they arent the only ones either, all companies that do this are down right disrespectful to the players.
I expect a company to check it’s forums…that’s the bare minimum of responsibility.
