This might not seem a big deal, but I would like the ability to clear out my hotkeys. Not from the options menu, but from the keys themselves. And currently, there is no way to do so.
It seems like a basic idea would be something like "if you over over the skill and then hit the DELETE key, it would delete the shortcut.
Not what you are looking for, but you can bind a hotkey to a key you don’t use. Then bind another hotkey to the same key. It should leave the first skill unbound. Repeat as needed, but the last skill will be stuck bound to that key.
Jesus christ, I finally figured it out after googling forever. You have to hover over the keybind under controls in the options menu THEN hit delete. Don’t click it, there’s no highlight indication you’re on it, but just put your mouse directly on the keybind and hit delete. Multi dollar company and they seriously couldn’t make it so you could hover over the ability in the quickslot menu and hit escape or something? Unreal bro, most clunky UI I’ve ever seen.
edit: I think you gotta hit “save custom” too or it’ll revert.
