No "Offline difficulty scaling" option available on XBox

It was announced in the Console patch notes, but it’s nowhere to be found…

Same on ps4. On our side talking with other reddit users seems to be related the lack of ps+ subscription. Can some devs look into it?

As I mentioned in another reply, we only need to wait for a fix. Hopefully soon

Same for switch. Theres some nice bugfixes, but what I waited for was the player scaling… Which isnt anywhere to be found.

Same for me as well on the Switch.

All that situation is funny and sad at the same time.

Diablo 2 is an amazing game for me, which I remember fondly. In nowadays i can only play offline a few times during the whole week, because of family and other obligations - i am a causal gamer

I only bought this game because I knew they were going to introduce players 8 offline, I am playing on ps4’

And what? You f****d up.

I am a programmer and I understand that mistakes happen, that is why there is a development and stage environment, to catch such things

But in production?

No words, I’m terribly disappointed.

Lets be honest, they need to make money, so its the only choice they got… Splitting the People is the job for them.

I have got the same on PS4! Really pissed about this, its incompetent and farcical

So the issue really is the fact that the option is only available when you have ps+ or equivalent ?

Can we please add difficulty scaling for online characters too!? At least in private games… even if it makes it so no one can join. I play Hardcore US west expansion and I haven’t had another person in my games for a month and a half. Its really single player. If that isn’t possible than can we please get a one time option to move our online characters to offline characters? Because once /players function is working single player will be far better than online solo grinding in one player games

Seems like, there’s an update on that Twitter thread:

That « coming soon » update to update the update will correct the issue that allows you to \players X on consoles (all of theme) but will take longer to arrive on switch or this « news » is only about issues on switch ?

wow, adding an essential OFFLINE feature of D2 to D2R, but making it available ONLINE only. Genius work Blizzard!

Officially announcing they are “proud” of their patch and leave the biggest fix out for SINGLE PLAYER USERS without a online subscription (which makes sense for multiplayer only).

Satire overcomes really.

I can confirm that creating a game with an online character unlocks the respective menu.

Steps to solve:

Get a ps4 test-subscription, create an online game once then cancel the subscription.

Effin embarrassing Blizzard.

This works as long as you are connected online and don‘t quit the game. Of you go offline with your switch the menu changes back.

I was just about to take the 7 days free trail, and then end it, to “unlock the tab” (it works for ps4) so thank you for mentioning that. Then we just have to wait for the patch for switch thats coming soon™.
