[NL] Need a socket quest

Hey bro,

  1. You join their game or they join yours
  2. Exchange pleasantries (Optional)
  3. Find each other (usually in Act1 - Rogue Encampment)
  4. You give them your target item and an IST Rune
  5. Other player will go to Act5 - Harrogath
  6. They will speak to the mighty NPC Lazarus
  7. They will then select Add Socket
  8. They will place your item in and click on the add sockets icon
  9. If they friend and not foe, the item will be returned back to you safely with a socket

quick question, could you also give the item to the person without the ist and when they socket it, you give them the ist in the final trade of returning the socketed item?

I’m not so sure since i usually just socket for others and done it that way sometimes.

That was sort of what I was expecting, but actually what I got was a normal rush to Act V, whereupon my character (one of my mules) obtained a socket quest, which I used to facet my Griffon’s Eye…

That works too. it is much safer.

So i think the difference lies in the verbiage. I refer “insta socket” if you just want item socketed by somebody else. And “socket rush” if you want your toon rushed to act 5 larz. First insta cost an ist, rush is an um or free if you do it back for your rusher usually

Hmmm… well, I was a clumsy dope while being rushed, not having done it before, so I won’t complain about paying an Ist. Worth it to learn how that way goes…

ooh what Griffs did you end up getting??
I was torn between a 5/5 Lightning vs a 15IAS one (to hit that Ama 30 or 52 Breakpoint)

I went with a -5/+3 facet I had on hand. Using it on my nova/ES sorceress…

That got me to -21/+14. Didn’t seem a good idea to put a 5/5 in that Griff, if I get a better one, maybe then…

got your socket rush yet? if not, am happy to rush you through, and let you know what to do each step when being rushed

we had some socket round robin in this forum before, and I hope I will get one organized soon too. so many “WTB instant socket” getting unfulfilled embarrasses me, hehe. there we are quite laid back, and everyone’s super flexible (kids duty, wife complains, all the time)

and are you in the forum discord server? personally I use that more often, easier to chat and DM

THIS is biggest reason is why i wouldnt be able to socket round robin lol.
