I was stuck on duriel so I created a game to get some help. I had someone join and helped me out but also rushed me past act 3 and 4, killing diablo (within like 10 minites - crazy for me being new). But instantly i regretted it since i wanted to play act 3 and 4 since I haven’t played in many years. now i’m in act 5 it shows no quests i have no idea what to do and the guy told me ‘now you can farm cows’ and left. so im lost. can i go back to those acts? or should i just start over with a new character. thanks
Yes, just use the Waypoint to switch acts, theres a tab for each act.

you can go back and complete quests you or that guy didn’t complete for you, but if they are already completed you cannot complete them again

1st off , which difficulty ? Cuz you have to do the game 3 times anyway , so unless you’re on hell , you could just skip straight ahead and focus on doing nightmare , and playing those act thoroughly there ?

That’s what I was just going to do, since I’m new and this is on norm. But as I mentioned, I don’t see any quests to do in act 5. No NPC gives me anything so I’m kinda lost, so how exactly do I complete act 5 and start back on act 1 nightmare?
To start act 5 , i usually just run out the main door and go kill a guy named overseer shenk or something , the quests auto appears when close to him .
Im not a veteran of d2 so idk if there’s another way to get that quest in town , just never bothered since im usually in a rush to get that add socket quest reward !

Act 5 is a bit different than the other acts. You dont have an NPC mark right off the bat. You go out the gate and eventually you will hear a sound and the Quest Update text will appear.
