hi… i have limitted internet data bandwitdh… i manage to download D2R successfully… after a week of playing… i need to upgrade my hdd to ssd… how to backup d2r so i would not download it again?
since i have battle.net account i think i can copy the d2r folder to external hdd then copy it back to original folder location… is this possible?

Just copy the folder. Then copy onto the new SSD. Then use the launcher to locate the game.

You can clone your original HDD to the new SSD. This will copy all data, programs, Windows installation, settings, etc over from your existing mechanical platter drive to your new solid-state drive, pending the solid state drive is large enough.

Once Macrium is installed, you can create a Macrium rescue bootable media with a USB flash drive or CD/DVD.
Once your data is cloned over and it’s working, you can then erase and reformat the HDD and use it for storage or backups.
Just copy the whole Diablo II Resurected folder to your external drive then copy it to the new drive. Just be sure it is in the same address location.
Default is C:\Program Files (x86)
So yes, any Blizzard game can be copied to a separate drive and moved to another PC. The only thing you end up having to DL is the Launcher and that is small.
