I think that 2 to ar and increase dirability is actually from the base, not rw effect

This being 50% and stacking to 100% would still not make the MA Assassin viable.
This will stack to 50% not 100%. And I highly doubt these runewords are the only changes we will see in PTR to melee characters. This definitely moves the MA sin to viability as releasing 6-8 charges at once instead of 3-4 is a huge DPS spike.
I, like others, fear that uniques/sets are going to see further neglect and fall to complete obscurity. I hope that isn’t the case though.
Edit: Since I misread. 100% chance charge won’t be consumed is brutally OP. At current, max phoenix strike, claws of thunder/ice/fire max charges deal a combined total of ~26.8k. With an easily attainable 5 attacks per frame your proposed change would deal ~100k per second.

If they made it 50%/100% stacked and fixed the elemental % and NHD issues, it would at least be a lot closer though. I’d 100% revisit a martial arts assassin for that.
I know, I was stating that even if the bonus was bumped up to 100% it still wouldn’t make MA viable…

Not really, no. At least not in the sense of “martial arts specifically need a massive overhaul just for them.”
The elemental % issue can be fixed in the .txt files.
Next Hit Delay is an issue beyond Assassin. They need to redo how NHD works altogether, and yes that is a big ask, but it’s a mechanic that causes a lot of problems for multiple classes, especially in group play. It would be a worthwhile thing to fix even setting aside martial arts.
Yeah definitely not for just assassins. Fire Druids would benefit greatly from a NHD change.
If they wanted to fix “Charges” assasins need a redesign entirely on their skill tree for martial arts. They’re terrible, clunky, inefficient, expensive, and just outright bad. They’re viable, in the sense you can beat hell diablo with it(u can clear the game naked with other characters) but they’re way behind everything else you can make.
This claw does not do anything i think to fix those problems.
What you describe as terrible and clunky, idk if I agree with that. I don’t think this “fixes” the assassin. But I also think having a street fighter button mashing style character is a very fun way to play. Especially with the smartcast system. I am glad that the devs are addressing MA sin. Slowly but surely these changes are making MA sin more and more viable. It’s annoying to me that Claws of Thunder is still best build and even it is C tier, but elemental damage buffs and adding flat damage to the dragon skills might make them more useful…
Also unrelated but dragon flight should not require a target to cast.
Assassins aren’t fun in any way unless you roll FHR back to version 2.3. Reached level 99. Do you mean to just farm after that? Too stupid Blizzard developers.
u are full of bad takes. if this were 100%, this would be op. imagine all 6 chargeups going off indefinitely. you would never need to build them up again as long as you kept finishing (assuming the non-consumption of a charge refreshes the timer). dragontail is already fairly strong, doing up to 150k damage in an aoe per kick. imagine if they could do that endlessly and apply every other charge at the same time… or just imagine every 3rd chargeup going off 5 times per dragon talon kick
i think the % should be buffed though, like 35% so that two is 70%. this makes it very good for dtail but underwhelming for elemental MA since nextdelay will prevent those from being strong and just a bunch of redundant missiles being casted everywhere. multi charge stacking is not that big of an issue if its less than 100%, and the claw offers no defensive abilities so 70% is justified for what youre sacrificing for it
But nobody hunts with Assassins and Bava. Because there is a faster sorceress, paladin, or javelin lol

It is a mechanism that cannot be used in pvp, and all martial arts parts are garbage skills.
your frustrations are misplaced. you’re mad at pvm buffs because they still havent fixed pvp? you prefer to ransom and hold the whole game hostage because a non-pvp game has broken pvp? delusional. i, and certainly most people here, agree pvp need to be fixed. that doesnt mean you need to give negative feedback about pvm changes solely based on the lack of pvp fixes lol
PVPers somehow have a feeling that they are the most important group of players in the history of D2, like how D2 would be dead without them, economy would be non existance without them. Problem is they are also the smallest group in the history of D2, and the world does not evolve around them.
You won’t see anyone playing this other than for the joy of clearing normal with it. Nobody will ever seriously make this at the beginning of ladder.
For one, the charge ups don’t stack indefinitely… You can’t even get all 6 charges maxxed out before they start wearing off
The chance of finishers only consuming 1 charge instead of 3 still didn’t do much to make the build viable.
