Was wondering if it’s possible to play a 2h sword passion(rune) hurricane Druid build
Absolutely it is possible.
However, you’d be better off making the rune word in a maul for more damage. Eg., the ogre maul has the highest average damage to weapon speed ration for the druid. Plus mauls have two extra damage bonuses: the undead bonus and for every 100 points allocated to strength there is a extra 5% damage bonus. Eg., 300 hard points on strength adds 15% enhanced damage to maul damage.
Also, people use Passion to make non-paladin zealots, specifically using the sorceress, while the druid already has a Zeal like skill in Fury, which you can make far more powerful than a Passion druid. To test this Fury druid out add 5 points to the skill and use rune word Strength (Amn + Tir) in a maul. You’ll sail through nightmare. Allocate the skill to the right mouse button, hold down the button and go!

I just like the old school hit and go kind of vibe
So I’m considering between zeal hurricane or A concentrat barb
The barb feels more free with the gear
While the Druid feels better at clearing mobs
Roger that. You may want to consider using a single-handed weapon and shield instead. A Hammer is going to give you your best damage but it’ll only be fast attack speed. A Phase Blade is unbreakable and very fast attack speed. Be sure and add some crushing blow and critical strike to your build. To get the maximum number of Zeal hits you’re going to need 4 additional oskill points, so keep your eye out for +1-2 to All Skills gear. It cannot be +1-2 druid or paladin skills either, it has to be +1-2 All Skills like on the Ternhelm: https://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/normal/uhelms.shtml
