They added 3 new graphic options for the Legacy Mode. Which one looks best?
I am glad to see them make improvements to legacy. I enjoy playing with the old graphics sometimes.

I like GDI the most, I don’t like the blurry filter the Glide/Resurrected options have.
I noticed in the PTR that it was very blurry so it seems they were using one of those two, glad they gave us the option in the end though. I like my pixelated jaggy edges.
Yeah, unfiltered looks much better imho. Just needs proper scaling (multiples of 800*600).
I would love if they could do something like D2DX widescreen support/higher res and more FPS in legacy mode.
hell dude id be happy with just the widescreen support lol. its weird going from resurrected to the legacy and it having the big blank spots.
Glide 100 percent for me.
They don’t need to do widescreen or more fps in legacy… It’s mainly there to allow you to play the game as it was originally played. They went out of their way to bring us the Glide filtering, which is good enough IMO.
I wonder if D2:R will run on my old Voodoo 3.
To have the option would be nice though.
Maybe it could run on the old Voodoo if there was an option for a legacy menu and lobby.
I think the Resurrected mode is best (which I guess is just Glide, but with some sort of fixes? IDK honestly). But yeah, Glide (or Resurrected) for sure is the best, you re-adjust to the “blurriness” quickly and then basically everything will be better, feel better, smoother, nicer, everything. I’m so happy they finally introduced Glide (or Resurrected) support for Legacy. Now all we need is a “start in legacy graphics” option
Though now I’m wondering what exactly the differences are between Glide and Resurrected. Actually now I’m just playing with Glide lol, until I know exactly what Resurrected even does I’m just gonna stick with the tried and true.
AFAIK “Resurrected” just fixes some of the misaligned tiles/textures that’s present in “Glide”. I checked this by taking the Durance 2 waypoint then taking a screenshot with Glide, then switching to Resurrected and taking another screenshot.
Then I pasted them into Paint and compared. Glide had some misalignment of tile edges, Resurrected fixes them so they line up and mesh together properly. That’s as far as my testing went though, there may be other differences.
i like having more options, especially the blurriness of the original. i cant stand the heavily pixellated look of the previous legacy option, that wasnt how its supposed to look at all and it hurts my eyes. the blurriness smooth it out, and actually looks like its intended output.
ya the glide / resurrected glide look awesome!
They should make full Legacy UI with all screens: menu screen, character selection screen, loading screen and lobby screen. I mean when you toggle legacy mode you shouldn’t EVER notice that you are playing D2:R. I want 100% legacy mode which looks like D2:LoD ALL THE TIME, not only in game.
Ya that would be a dream
