New Heralds Changes

The new changes to heralds are great. They now give you a few seconds warning and then spawn back from you.

I think that’s everything they needed. Does anyone else have anything to add? Or a different experience?

Herald’s pack spawn on top of the player, and you die from a single hit. There should be some minimum distance for the pack to spawn.

Have you played online today? They made changes.

Today no, I tested it yesterday. I’ll check after work.

It’s much better today. They give you about 3 or so seconds notice before spawning, and then spawn at the edge of the screen instead of on top of you.

Are there new patch notes?

Haven’t tested it yet due to work but from what ive seen on streams and heard its good.

I do still miss the controlled chaos scenarios of having multiple herald packs spawn together due to funky ire call rng though. Wonder if they couldn’t tweak it a bit more to keep some of that energy.

So I guess now it is really herald hunting players and not vice versa.

I can’t see the new changes being discussed. Checked for PTR updates and says it’s up to date.

So it still seems like they spawn right on top without much warning or delay as far as I can tell.

The spawn rates of Heralds definitely has increased, but I did enjoy the two tiered mechanic of drawing ire first. If they they just didn’t randomize it so much after drawing ire, it would have felt a lot better from the beginning.

EDIT: I did finally see a glow with a very short delay. So maybe they did change something? I’m also wondering if it was just that hard to notice before, and they actually didn’t change anything.

I still prefer the idea that they’re right off screen about to hunt you instead of this new change. Kind of seems a bit frantic still without the build up.

Increased chance from T2+ Heralds is good, but please don’t let it drop from normal monsters, it will be botted, it will lose value after 2 weeks of ladder.
