New Character Models?

Are they going to fix these anytime soon. I have to ask this every now and then. Or is there a mod that gives us better looking ones out that I do not know about?

There is next to zero chance of Blizzard remaking the character models for this game.

A few reasons:

1: Graphic artists cost money. D2R no longer makes Blizzard shareholders any money, which makes D2R a non-priority.

2: Even if they did rework the character models, there will always be someone out there who thinks they look bad.

3: They already did a minor tweak to the Amazon.

We could have had this, but they wanted to be woke regressives instead

what a damn simp lmao

don’t like the Man-azon?

I really don’t know what are you talking about…

If You don’t like the “aged” amazon looks then just turn down the graphics efects quality… it works wonders for both how the amazon face looks ( she actually looks yong) and also puts less stress on the system so the game is less likely to crash if anyone experiences crashes that is ( I don’t).

My mother is aged, she still looks like a woman

I’m not joking man… i to was pushed away by how amazon looks on medium and high… and one day i turned to low settings, most characters got black hair, and amazon insteado fl black hair has a younger face… WHY?! beats me… but that’s how it is…

no need to troll about it or my battletag which on the contrary to common belifs is actually a Male’s name in certain foreign ( to You) culture and not some law of certain rebellous women group…

I wasn’t trolling you, just the poor design of amazon

srsly it’s not that bad if you turn down the graphics settings, all the cheek-freckles are gone then…

I’d strongly recommend checking the artist’s (Hossein Diba) artstation page for the Amazon. When in proper lighting, the amazon is pretty decent, even if we can disagree with some artistic choices.

I guess they should have simply taken a little bit of time to either make sure the model would hold as well in less flattering lighting, or the acts’ character displays provided better lighting.

it’s not the freckles that make her manly, it’s well her manly face and chizzled jaw that can break the horadric cube to refine perfect diamonds

I like women to be sexy.

Not a CHANCE that Blizzard is going to lift a finger to do this. It simply comes down to dollars and cents.

The job of designing a 3-D figure like we have for D2R character classes is actually mind-blowingly complex, hard work, and from Blizzard’s POV, whatever work was going to be done on this, was done when D2R was first released. There is ZERO chance that they’re going to invest a cent in doing “upgrades” to an intellectual property investment that from their POV is “over and done with”.

You want more accurate, more diverse character models? Buy a modern game that costs five times what D2R costs and which requires a computer (and GPU) that is ten times more powerful than the one you need to run D2R.

Frankly, I’m amazed that this ancient game and game system, are still available at all, in 2025. D2 has seen almost every one of their direct competitors (with the possible exception of PoE) come and go, over the years.

If you think Amazon look ugly, check assassin…worst nightmare ever made …
