As most Communitys & Forums adverting Multi account & Bots should be must have in Online. Im Kinda Sad not make any Competition anymore online with p1 with all cheaters.
So my Question to Blizzard:
Is it allowed to use Prozess Explorer and Cross the Barrier?
I dont want to Risk my Account just because “peter” Adverting and say multi account are the thing in 2025 and blizzard dont care.
Maybe a Wrong Influzenza got feeded and the Adverting is wrong?
But all say we cant press play with more Blizzard Launchers.
So they need Process Explorer for avoiding the lock.
Can someone help if its allowed or not? because its from microsoft?
like the adverting , the need the 3th party programm Process Explorer or im wrong??? we have to manipluate the exe with it , that is bannable im wrong??
I’m seeing mixed answers on Process Explorer being bannable, but I wouldn’t think it would be bannable to use it to launch another instance. I don’t know for a fact, because I don’t multi account, I play the game as it was intended to be played…
im just wondering why Blizzard dont care about all the wrong adverting with process explorer etc? If it would be allowed blizzard have made the play button able with multi app?
The majority of players aren’t trying to take advantage * coughexploitcough * of running multiple instances of the game, so there is no reason to make the Battle.net app so you can run multiple instances. But Blizzard doesn’t mind that people find ways to do it, because that means more money for them!!!..
Oh hey, this game called Diablo 2 Resurrected looks cool! Ok how much? Checks internet for how “the Joneses” play the game in order to be competitive. Oh ok, $320 for 8x copies, cheaper if you catch it on sale… Plus thousands of dollars for the computers to run 8 copies at once, if you don’t already have them…
It’s ridiculous what people will do just to get an edge over others. But if there are cracks and flaws in the game/system, these people will find and exploit them.
Purely semantics here, but Process Explorer is made by Microsoft, so not really “3rd Party” by definition. The first two parties are OS manufacturer (Microsoft) and game manufacturer (Acti-Blizz…now Microsoft also) so kind of all single party going on here.
That said I know that’s more of a “technically correct” situation that won’t help you if they want to drop the Ban hammer.
I think I’ve also seen people having success running multiple instances using fast user account switching, which wouldn’t require Process Explorer.
For what it’s worth it does seem like other games don’t have the multi-instance block, and given the general amount of enthusiasm and support we’ve seen on D2R for mopping up things like this, it’s reasonable to assume it’s something that was implemented by default or carry-over from the legacy game, and they just never got around to resolving for D2R.
As Jedi has posted, the generic, not D2R specific response of 1 button press = 1 action in game, and not automating the additional characters using macros or other 3rd party software is the firmest statement they’ve ever given us, and that’s unlikely to change.
I mean, I guess we could wait and see if Blizzard CEO Johanna Faries herself comes in here to weigh in on what is, or is not, allowed in D2:R, but… I think generally speaking, the safer bet would be to assume “if you have to ask, you already know.”
But another thing is…whats about the own Trade Feature for d2r?
We could use Blizzard Coins for it in example and buy merges and games from it.
It could acaually for every blizzard game done.
i would like it
