I did a lot of looking up, but nothing really helped much.
I just recently bought D2R for the PS4, and I’m trying to apply Steel (runeword) to my Mace (white colored, not unique/magical/rare) and I put in Tir on the top socket and El on the bottom and it doesn’t change.
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but help would be much appreciated, and it is a Mace Class weapon with 2 sockets from Act 2 (Not the flail).
If it’s a mace, morning star, or flail then it should work. Insert tir first, then el.
So be sure it’s allowed by the actual mace runeword pool, not a scepter (scepter) or maul (hammer) etc.

I figured it out a few min. after I posted. I wasn’t using a greyed out socketed item.
As soon as I bought a grey socket, I put the runes in and it worked. That was an error in my part. But thank you for the response, means a lot.
