Hello,
I try to play a werebear druid, i have a ring that give +6% life leech/hit but it doesn’t seems to work.
I have 300 life for now, and normally, i must leech 18 life per hit but it’s none, my life just stay the same when i hit.
Is there something i don’t understand?
Which skill are you hitting with?
also life leach doesn’t work on certain undead enemies, you need to use the life tap curse to be able to get health from them

Thanks everyone.
I use maul and normal attack for now i’m lvl 15.
Thanks for the clarification about the leech from damage instead of max life, that is poorly explained in game though.
I figure about my problem who doesn’t leech, i put the normal attack on the 2nd attack in the skill bar (square for me, ps5 controller), it doesn’t work, now that i put my normal attack on the 1st skill bar, it work. (probably a bug, i play with a ps5 controller)
life leech is also reduced in nightmare and hell
for example if u
look at the drain effectiveness value
http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/monsters/act3-councilmember.shtml
you can see that concil members have reduce leech effectiveness in nm and hell
and here
http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/monsters/act3-mephisto.shtml
you can see that you cant leech from mephy at all in nm and hell
on top of all that
life drain is reduced to half effectiveness in nightmare
and 1/3rd effectiveness in hell
taking all this into account.
if you deal 1000 damage per hit, on a hell council member and have 10% life leech
his leech value is 66%
so instead of taking 100 that would go down to 66, but since its hell you get 1/3rd of that because life leech in hell works at 1/3rd
so u get 22 life per hit if u deal 1000 damage to a hell council member at 10% life leech
