Necromancer NERFED?!?!?!

It appears you have nerfed the necromancer. Literally the reason i bought this game in the first place.
He wasn’t that strong before, his minions weren’t either. How come you nerfed how much we can summon? WHAT IS THAT?!?!
I use to be able to summon 20 of each, 35 if you buff the skill. EACH. 35 mages, fighters, 1 golem, a mercenary (Iron wolf to be specific) and me. What in the world have you done. Fellas. i’m this close to refunding your game just on that. IT WAS ENTIRELY BEAUTIFUL! Then you janked it.
I maintain the necromancer WAS NOT that strong. I’ve been whiped out by 1 sorc ice ball. and then you nerf it…I hope eventually we get our REAL army back.
(Cant believe you advertized “original” Necromancer summonings, original would be real screen spam. not this squad you’ve given us to lead)

That change was in 1.10. The summoner wasn’t really nerfed it was more of a buff. Instead of 34-40 really weak skellies you get 9-15 relatively strong skellies.

Also IM/Thorns was nerfed it won’t work after normal. You want to get a might merc for those skellies.

I did notice that. lets see how this goes.

Necro was not nerfed. Necro is as strong as it’s ever been. Both psn and bone slap in both pvp and pve. Summoner was and still is great at pve. Flesh it out till endgame. You’ll be happy, I promise.

Skeleton mages still suck. Their damage doesn’t scale well to NM/Hell, and they always get in the way in tight hallways/doorways, so I just 1 point them for revives. :slight_smile:

If you want to really see how it goes, drop your first 20 pts into raise skelly. Don’t bother with anything else, except amp, clay and mastery. By lvl 23 you will have skellies maxed. Then tell me what you think.

thats the mistake i made, the biggest problem i have with them is that they randomly disappear when nothing is attacking them or disappear when off screen

Corpse explosion.

They are stronger now, summoning necros are one of the best characters in Hell difficulty.

Did you really just create a thread in 2021 about a change that was made in Oct 2003?

Give OP a break guys, smoking grim reefers can cause you to lose track of long periods of time. 2003 may feel like yesterday for him.

One necro feature I’d like to see come is the ability to unsummon on the minion icon on the upper left. I’d probably cast mages just for extra meatshield targets and what extra wimpy damage they do, then when I get into an area with doors/tight hallways, unsummon all of the mages rapidly using the minion icon. It can be a PITA to unsummon them, since they’ll randomly move, or they might be right next to a skeleton.

My plan was originally to have 3 skeletons, then get to level 10 mastery (With a golem and a bit of curse on the side) Amplify damage is pretty nice when you have no buffing to your army, I just debuff the enemies. So I grabbed a skill shrine, this is when I noticed I could still only summon 3. Almost rage quitted.
But like you guys say they’re stronger, eventually i’ll be able to summon 8. Buff out their resistances and mastery. Should be golden. (I do intend to be the strongest minion)
