Necromancer changes suggestions

I have three issues with the current changes in Necromancer.

  1. Skeletal Magi are still weak.
    I understand that the Summoner Necro is already a solid build and giving them access to another powerful summon is a concern, so i suggest a buff thst would not allow that build to utilize them to the fullest.
    Buff them through synergies! For example allow them to receive a damage boost from each point invested in Fire Golem and a small amount of reducing enemy resistance through the Summon Resist skill.

  2. Fire Golem might be the weakest level 30 skill in the game. It needs more help.
    Similarly with the magi, if you are afraid of it getting out of hand, you can buff that too through synergies or (and i would love that) allow the Fire Mastery from Trang Oul’s set to affect it!

  3. Bone Spirit is too good for PvP.
    To be honest i am not much of a PvP player, but i trust other people’s opinions on this. At the same time however this skill is not all that necessary for PvM, so i would suggest we could keep (or even increase) the damage boost to Bone Spear but revert back to the old Bone Spirit damage.

Making mages good is very hard… The summon necro is already very powerful… If Mages become strong too, that’s just free extra damage for him…

I think Blizzard should make a new rule that Mages cannot be summoned in combination with Skeletal Warriors (like druid summons)…

This means thay can make much more powerful buffs to mages, and not worry tht standard summon necro builds will become too strong…

D2R will be much more intersting if there are two viable, and different summon necro builds:

  1. Physical Melee Summon necro with amplify damage
  2. Elemental Mage summon necro with lower resist…

I think these build should be almost like a different skill tree - they should have new playstyles…

I think the way necros can summon everything at once, all the skeletons, all the mages, all the revives makes the game look horrible and cluttered… I think they should fix this and make the druid “cleaner” to look at… Not cluttering up the whole screen and making it hard for other players to see what is going on…

Edit: I really like the fire golem idea - this really works well with the idea that the different summon necro builds should have a special identity :+1:

Maybe Clay golem synergises with skeleton warrior type build

MAybe fire golem synergises with skele mage type build

MAybe blood golem synergises with revive type build…

Maybe iron golem synergises with all types, because you can transform any item to make the golem synergise with your particular minion setup

This will encourage necros to make specific builds and focus on one minion type, and disincentivice pointless minion spam and clutter…

summon necros dont really seem to have that fast of clear speeds- Id like to see a little more AOE- like if skele mages got a CHANCE for their spells to peirce! Just amp up that crowd clear speed a touch and I think it would be in a great place.

You mean when you don’t use CE?
