Hi! Anyone else having this problem? I have Teleport on my right mouse button, using the function keys for attacking spells.
I’m jumping around spamming Blizzard/FO and my RMB skill switches to a function key spell and I am stranded in place. This has led to many unnecessary deaths along the way.
I’ve tried to disable the mouse wheel, but no luck.
Has anyone else encountered this problem - or have a suggestion on how to stop it from happening?
Appreciate any suggestions!
I think by default the “scroll skill tree” hotkey is attached to the mouse wheel. Is it possible you’re accidentally nudging the wheel and changing skills that way?

Yeah, it’s possible. Still, I’d like to prevent using the mouse wheel to change skills. I never use it in game.
this is a very old d2r bug actually.
whatever class you play, the right skill set would be changed by accident not by your mouse scroll-wheel.
my solution to this is to bind the left and right skill set to keys, and use keyboard to trigger the skill. but this also introduces another problem: in some cases the key-binded skills will not trigger, there are some elements in the UI will block the key-binded skills to work properly.
It’s not a bug, the scroll wheel cycles through bound keys. The solution is swapping teleport to a hotkey instead of right mouse.

I have the scroll wheel cycling disabled since it’s annoying to me.
Nevertheless, in some circumstances, the assigned skills to LMB and RMB change.
I’m currently playing a pure summoner druid for sh1ts and giggles and have raven both on F1 and RMB. Nevertheless, sometimes another skill ends up on my RMB, even though I have scroll wheel cycle disabled.
And others have reported the same issue before as well.
It must be using the function keys instead of other hotkeys. I have at least 1k hours in D2R and I’ve never had my mouse button skills change aside from flicking the scroll wheel. I’ve also never had a skill bound to a function key.
Your assumption is wrong. Well-known bug and happens with any keys. I don’t use function keys and mousewheel is unbound and it still occurs. Seems more likely if unbalanced, like more keys are bound in the right side map than the left or some threshold is met with certain builds.
One day people will learn to just keep their figurative mouth shut when they don’t experience something that others do. Telling someone there’s not a problem because you haven’t experienced the problem is the epitome of ignorance.
It can happen if you use quickcast then happen to pause the game mid skill usage, the hotkey will change and stick to whichever quickcast skill you used.

This is it. The reason is that they just made a kludge to make the quickcast work. Using quickcast is in fact using the RMB. This is a very poor solution…
I play with controller, no issues there.
