I respec my summoner necro because i was bored as hell and it was not fun for me. i’m lvl 33 and i respec poison.
I don’t do any damage, that’s just hilarious. i did some baalrun yesterday, it’s just impossible like this.
Is the poison build became stronger after a while or did i need to respec into bone?
I already have Ancient’s Pledge and Stealth.
I have 7 point in dagger, 7 in poison explo, 3 in poison nova and 8 in clay golem + all the curses.
So, what did i do wrong and is it gonna be stronger later? Someone give me Blackbog’s Sharp but it’s level 38. Do you think it can help?
Hey, Poison Necro’s tend to be pretty weak compared to other builds, but they can get strong once you have good gear on. I can help a little although I’m not pro at this game.
The points into Poison Explosion are wasted at the moment. Even if you have only one point into Corpse Explosion, you should always be casting it over Poison Explosion. Max out Poison Nova first, then focus on your synergies (if you’re gonig full synergies). it helps to have some minions in front, and an Act 2 merc. Lower Resist is the best curse for Poison builds, but more than 5 points is a waste because + to skills won’t be difficult to raise it to about 15 or higher, and points past 15 start to do almost nothing for its stats.

play bone spear necro, equip enigma and strong act2 merc , kill one monster and CE
or equip enigma and eth vogue infinity, act 1 merc with ice bow, bone prison on monster, lower resist, bone spear and kill and CE
Trang shield gives -25 pr alone, nice to pair with gloves/belt, so dweb not the only option for pierce but I agree pnova/pdagger is a lot of fun to level up and very easy to be effective in p1
I’m not trying to be rude but why are you playing necro if you don’t like the strongest skill in it’s tool kit? Outside of endgame CE is absolutely what gets you through hell. CE is heavily used in summoner and bone builds until you have enough gear to make bone spear your main damage dealer. It legitmately can clear the entire screen and does more DPS than any other skill necros have. the poison nova build doesn’t but needs expensive stuff to even be remotely good. If you really don’t want to use it bone spear is the only damage you’re gonna get and before you have decent gear CE carries it too.

But be mindful it very mechanically demanding compared to other builds. You need to juggle multiple curses, teleport, ce, pn, skelton army management, your iron golem cannot die etc.

It’s second nature to me on controller, but when I try to play it on keyboard and mouse it’s really tasking. Revives, skellies, golem, amp damage, lower resist, decrep for the bosses, poison nova, bone armor, corpse explode…
Is there even another build that utilizes this many skills?
