Hello everyone, everything good?
I’m playing Diablo 2 Resurected and was organizing my chest. I threw items on the floor to make it easier to organize but many of them just disappeared.
I didn’t lose the connection, it wasn’t a public room, no one came in, they just disappeared! there were hours of gameplay, I bought items on the internet, many exchanges during the game, just for them to disappear for no reason.
I’m a fan of the game but I’m super upset with what happened, I lost money, time and this shouldn’t happen to people who buy the game.
Im still on the game, acctualy im still in the same room and i can’t believe that just happen.
I lost cham, mal, um, 7%MF small charms, and other items and runes. It’s not fair.
I hope you get in touch with me for a solution. thanks!
Items and Gold Disappear after time when left on the ground
Don’t leave items or gold lying on the ground any longer than necessary, especially when transferring in town (“muling”) as they disappear after a certain amount of time:
- 10 minutes: Key, Potion, Scroll, Tome, and Ammo (Arrows, Bolts).
- 10 minutes: Any Armor and Weapon of quality < magic, regardless if flagged as ‘‘Ethereal’’, ‘‘Socketed’’ or not, and Rune Words.
- 10 minutes: Pandemonium artifacts (Key of Terror/Hate/Destruction, Mephisto’s Brain, Diablo’s Horn, Baal’s Eye).
- 10 minutes: Essence (4 flavours) and Token of Absolution (these are new items from Patch 1.13x).
- 20 minutes: Magic Items, Gems and Runes.
- 30 minutes: Rare, Set, Unique and Crafted Items.
Picking an item onto your cursor and dropping it again resets the timer.
How long did it take you to finish organizing your Stash?
Yet another reason to have more stash space.

was las than 30 minutes for sure, i didn’t knew this
never gonna do this again, i lost good items, this shouldn’t happen if there is someone in the room yet.
i lost money with that, that sucks…
but its a good cause to stop playing so much…

Is this new to D2R or has it always been this way? I can’t remember TBH
It has always been this way. D3 is like this too.
This is NOT a bug.
In D2:R we now have Shared Stash. There’s no reason to drop items on the ground.
If you must drop items, don’t leave them there long. And do so at your own risk.
Strange, this has only ever happened to me with potions One time and it just did for the first time ever I’ve been playing for almost 20 years. That is what brought me to this forum.I don’t think you understand everything you’re talking about. Because of this post, I will no longer be supporting blizzard. I have no interest in saving any items. I just don’t like the nature of the post. There are plenty of reasons to drop items on the ground and I do it all the time. I just happen to have never lost an item that way. In fact, I once dropped an item out in the “world”, an extremely powerful main hand weapon by mistake. I searched for hours and actually found it. This is not a complaint about the game or losing items. It is a declaration that I no longer support blizzard and the very reason is because a response coming from someone who supposed to be blizzard support said what they just said here.
Seriously?
You necro a thread for stating a brutal honest fact anyone should know?
Why did you post here? Do you have something productive to contribute like I did? Did you even read everything I wrote? I don’t like the nature and ignorance in the post previous to mine. I want to clarify a few things about what happened here. It’s important that people understand the minor details of it and they were not correctly Informed prior to my post. You’re welcome.
And apparently I was wrong. The previous post was not someone from blizzard so I apologize for that. The link that was posted is someone from blizzard support which is very informative. Blizzard support has always been very excellent. Now I understand why I was confused. The person posting was not from blizzard. I still don’t like the post people can do what they want with this game if you don’t wanna lose items, don’t leave them on the ground because they will disappear. My interest was an attempting to add to the understanding of this problem. Because like I said before, I’ve left items all over the place and never lost one until four days ago. So it doesn’t seem like to be a big running issue. I just can’t believe that someone would say there’s no reason to drop items on the ground when that happens all the time and will be nice if there was a way to preserve that, but I understand if it isn’t and I don’t really care. Hope everyone is having a good day.
You necroed a 4 year old threat from some noob who did not know that items left on the floor in D2, D2LoD and D2R do disappear over time since the original release in 2k and ment to complain about it. The game was designed that way from the start and any complains about this are BS.
If you ARE into D2 for about 20 year as you claim to be then you surely know “The Arreat Summit”, Blizzard’s own site about everything D2/LoD. This is an excerpt from “Basic Items Information” from that site:
