Multishot’s tooltip is still incorrect. Before the patch update, it was showing “75% Weapon Damage” (which is the universal damage penalty for multishot that is meant to apply after all damage calculations are completed) but was missing the enhanced damage component.
Now in 2.6 the “Weapon Damage” stat is including the baseline damage and percentage damage that you get from your synergy bonuses. On my screen it says “315% Weapon Damage” - which is made up of:
- 100% baseline value
- 240% synergy from a level 20 Guided Arrow
- -25% from the “weapon damage” stat to bring it from 100% to 75%
But the “weapon damage” and the “enhanced damage” stats are separate stats in the damage calculation and should not be conflated.
It should be showing “75% Weapon Damage” for multishot only and “Damage: +240%” along side it, similar to how Guided Arrow and Strafe show this.

I noticed this as well, hopefully they change it for better clarity.

Lol. Did they get anything in the patch right?
I’me reporting this:
from maxroll /d2planner/
which reads directly from the files of the game, multishot has a bug in damage calculation (not only in display).
With this setup: 20 points in multishot, guided arrow and strafe, and +3 from the bow (14-72), I got these numbers:
from 75% if weapon dmg (10-54) I got 26-136, since only 152%ED from dex comes into play, so no +240% from sinergy.
Basically, the sinergy currently comes into play only in the wrong display (+315% from weapon dmg) but not in dmg calculation.
Can you do a quick recording of your whole setup and show the character screen and put it up on YouTube? I never noticed anything like this.
Sorry, I can’t show you a video.
One thing you can do is to go to maxroll D2R planner, and replicate it; until now, that planner has never failed, instead it has discovered bugs and hidden mechanics that were unkown before (as example how the damage from the assassin blade fury works based on the choosen weapon).
Then you can go in game, remove all other external +%ED from other sources (might aura, +350%ED against demons from gloves, etc) and see against a mob whose you exactly know the HP pool.
Mind that if you have high dexterity, the difference between the expected damage and the real one could be less noticeable; since many of multishot users are investing so many points in dexterity, and with all that gear, it’s not that easy to spot a missing +240%ED damage, that could be translated in a rough -20% damage output.
My perception here is that Blizzard has put the sinergy bonus in the wrong column in the files for the calculation of the damage, so that it’s not applied and it wrongly appears in the visual indication of weapon damage display, adding up from the -correct- 75%.
