Most wanted QoL change for d2r

While pondering about what might come next to d2r due to the recent news about d2r China and the ‘Chaos we’ve yet to unleash’, I thought about what the most wanted QoL change would be in everyone’s mind.

For me it would be Teleport and Warcries for Shape Shifters.

Please state your opinions on the matter or make other suggestions…

Included with those the timer should be taken off wereforms, and all elementals skills should be useable when in wereform, and all the spirits and vines should be able to be activated at the same time, and they should be on timers – they shouldn’t be killable. It’s literally rword that it isn’t this way now.

Imagine a necro summoner that couldn’t access curses or bone skills, or a ww barbarian that couldn’t access warcries, or only one middle tree warcry could be used at a time. It would be rword. Same with Pally auras being fixed to right mouse only – rword.

There are 9 skills a werebear cannot access, and 2 of those 9 the werebear is forced to put a point in to access 3 skills it can use. Then there are the requirements to get residuals of Armageddon.

If i had to pick just one, stacking HRs and gems has to be it without a doubt. It would indirectly accomplish so many things including basically giving players a bit of extra space back in their stashes and inventories…I know I’m tired of looking at the mess of my rune/gem tab :expressionless:

D2R is so QoL depraved, anything would feel like heaven at this point.

more inventory space that charms don’t work in.
i am curious as to what nerf they are doing to mosaic
im surprised that hasnt been leaked yet. i have heard they are nerfing it… i wonder how

Online mod support should be everybody’s answer

For me a Big nerf to teleport would be a qol change, because it would make every class more variable and maybe the end of Enigma mandatory. I Mighty be alone with this one tho

A toggle for displaying item level is extremely low hanging fruit that should’ve been available at release, it’d be very little work for a massive boon to players.

It’s doable in offline mods but they specifically block that info from the client on D2R Bnet (IIRC ilvl could be revealed by maphacks on LoD Bnet, someone correct me if I’m wrong).

Never happen,

25y and still 0 nerfs to Tely, only buffs - higher res, sellable mana, tons of mana and +sks in items like Spirit, free Medi from Insight, ULTRA Caster meta and etc etc.
… also gameplay is based on Tely.

BIGGER Inventory would be, also veri welcomed :+1:

First thing coming to mind is currency tab.

You’re not alone. It’s a necessary nerf but those stuck on making profit each ladder with the same Sorc will fight hard against it. Besides making other classes more valuable it would make multiplayer more enjoyable. No more sitting in town waiting for tp. Actual group gameplay as intended. No more slideshow.

That’s not the thread to discuss changes to teleport, though, as that is clearly not “Quality of Life”, but significant balance changes, no matter how people may want to frame it.

I do agree, though I’ll put, as many before, the caveat that charms must not work in that extra space.
There’s a debate as to whether inventory expansion, even without being able to put charms in it, is power creep or not (and, honestly, to an extent, it is, though I think the change would be for the best anyways), but extra space that charms work on is clearly not going to improve people’s lives, as it will simply get also filled with charms.

Personaly I dont like separated space for charms or charm inv, if larger inv then puzzle choices Imo.

PvM is EZ whatever 10 charms or 20 or even 30 almost no differenlnce for chars like LightSor or Java, everything is like 1KO and GL to get and collect all these 30 charms LOL, there is BIG difference in PvP cuz ppl wouldnt EZ sorb ele chars anymore.

You could say that about most of the changes on this wish list. It was not about guessing what changes we Will see in the future, it was a wish list

Well, I Think it would make the quality of my in game Life better

ITT people asking balance changes… Here is what QoL changes would look like. Notice that I’m not saying change items, skills or monsters. Because that’s not what QOL is.

general client things:

  • the biggest one i want is letting me leave the trade chat for good. Also let me leave the lobby as well and change home channel to my own that i can have me and friends

  • maybe at least make those default chats make more sense if you at least joined the appropriate game mode for the character you selected (make 8 channels for classic\lod sc\hc\ l\nl).

  • give an instant error message when you try to join a game from another mode (like softcore game with hardcore char) instead of having to wait for 1 minute.

  • fix the game list not always showing all the games.

  • give us a setting to skip intro videos

in-game QOL…

  • that thing you did in resurrected where your character keeps running after killing an enemy with LMB? make that an option, please. I cannot play paladins competently because of it (because they cannot have skills on the right button because they have auras there…) so I always run into frost novas.
  • Let us have an “interact” skill on keyboard and mouse controls (just like on controller), instead of everyone binding “throw” onto it, because i don’t want to keep hearing “i can’t”, and it doesn’t work on a javazon and throw barb.
  • Bring us the promised directional movements. Preferrably with mixed input support so i could walk slowly with an analog keyboard or SteamInput.
  • Ctrl+Click items to\from trade window
  • After (re)moving an item from trade window, the check box is red and it’s confusing for everyone. I know it’s done so that the traders check the other inventory thoroughly, but it should be something better than just a timeout because you never know if it’s gonna get “un-reded” or should we start placing the 12 keys in the trade window AGAIN.

the simple ones to do:
item level on item toolitip: EZ-AF just find proper column in proper .txt file and populate the whole column with “1” instead of being empty + save file that’s literally it…

have the teleport and all barb shouts CtA also has an pretty usefull Battle Cry a.k.a -50% AC debuff to be used in wereforms as well: doable by means of txt file modding

Teleport and barb buffs should also work while under both metamorphosis buffs, this goes for all classes using metamorphosis and wereforms not only druid, like wolfhowl barb with beast runeword, and metamorpho on switch, or other classes using wereforms from runewords… metamorphosis buffs shouldn’t prevent barb shouts nor teleport

adding indestructible attribute to assa claw runewords that are ment to be used with weapon damage instead of boot damage, and if not all then at least make chaos runeword indestructible, so that when finally finding that gg runic talons with correct set of 3x +3 skills the repair cost from 0-69 or 79 in case of superior +15% dura doesn’t involve the kidney of your firsborn, seriously there is the same issue in classic for ww barb, where 60 dura items with the fastest ww IAS breakpoint lasts for mearly 3 minutes of spinning, only ww sin repair costs are hilarious compared to classic ww barb.
while at it change the runeword with +5 to frenzy (barbarian) to an oskill, and add indestructible affix to it as well. it would be fun to play frenzy sin, all nessecary animations for it are in the game so even legacy shoudn’t be a problem, it’s just a basic attack with frenzy aura overaly + a bunch of ias and possibly a few faster breakpoints ( it only goes two FPA lower than sin basic attack with claws claws fastest is (and she can’t use anything else since she needs to dual wield).
