Mosaic changes needed

Dear Blizzard i am very happy that you update the game and make changes so the game feels fresh BUT one change was a little bit overtuned and ofcourse i am speaking about Mosaic Claw runeword. I know you wanted to shift “meta” abit but this recipe is way too strong for the cost (even more than Spirit, Insight and more low cost rw’s). For more healthy player base and less eye doctor’s bills make some changes to the runeword.
The most easy fix is to make the recipe cost atleast Jah or some other Rune. Right now for the price of 2 Guls (mid runes obtainable by Forge pretty often) you get the highest possible power spike in D2 history.
My eyes are precious to me… Keep your sight remove Mosaic!

the reason they made it gul rune is to make that rune be abit more worthy, as it was a nothing rune. garbage, lower runes were often worth more… they wont change that, some people would find it difficult to obtain a jah, so why would they do that? the idea behind its introduction was to heavily improve martial arts to make it appealing, as it was the least played build in d2lod by a country mile. maybe 1% of the entire d2 population played it, if your lucky

Assassin was always strong character. Kick/ds sin all around jack of all trades master of none, Trapsin is one of the top ladderstarters in pvp Spidersin dominated for decades and was considered the most overpowered build until 2.4. But this buff is way too overpowered day 2 of ladder i was abale to clear anything and i mean anything without any risk because of cobra strike i was non stop full health doing p8 CS runs solo faster than 5 ber’s investment character i am assassin main and this change is absurd.
Another way to “fix” the recipe is to make the effect work only on tiger strike this way you dont have better Aoe than sorcs better single target than smiter and better survability than any other class
Right now Mosaic assassin is Jack of all trades master of all.

but again thats how its intended, there was a severe strong balance towards dins and sorcs with probably 75% of all playerbase using one of those to play, now its spread out abit with the introduction of mosaics and the huge advancement of ma sin, why would blizzard change it?

Yes you are almost correct but the difference is that every other class have some sort of weakness. Sorcs until you get huge investment are squishy and cant doo multiple types of content because immunities and resistances. Hdin is doing nothing against magic immunities and until you invest a lot of rune it feels clunky to play. Fohdin is good only against demons and undead. Every character have some sort of weakness that you must put huge investment into it to overcome and here is the Mosaic… Literally the only weakness is that you must charge your MA skills before engage into combat and you can literally naked with 2x Mosaics doo ANYTHING and i mean ANYTHING in the game. I am not for killing the build completly … I enjoy Mosaic even i played the last month as Tiger strike/ ds / kicksin and had a lot of fun but for the price of 2 gul runes to have zero weaknesses is bizarre and need some sort of rework soo the playfield is even as much as possible.

not sure why you mention immunities with sorcs, thats the point of sunders

unless you incredibly stack your inventory full of 5@ res sc’s then resistences is a big weakness for a mosaic sin, dual mosaic, griffon/shako depending on budget. pretty much the only form of resistences on equipment will be maras and some small ones on rings

even with fade i only have 14 light res or something like that

They need to do something. Change that eye sore crap.
Ps4’s can barely handle the game, and with those damned assassins running around they crash the game too often.

Well the lack of resistances is common for every melee build expect paladin because of their shields but druids barbs MA sin and zons always had lower resistances than caster because of gear but the advantages they have are life steal and for Mosaic sin this is not issue because they have (feral spirit like) cobra strike non stop without need of refresh literally 1 kick and you are full mana/life naked (i tested it did uber tristram without gear only 2x claw) wich is insane. About sunders they break immunities but dosent lower enemy resistances without infinity even with sunder your damage will be 5-10% of the original soo… I get it you like Mosaic you want it to be cheap but in while this is getting boring and unfair when you spend 100 hours grinding character and there is somebody with 10 hours playtime able to do all the content in the game without single weakness. Every other build struggle with something. Gear, immunities, damage etc. But Mosaic dosent have single weakness and they have 4 damage types phys, fire, cold, lightining while the rest have 2 in best case scenario (Poison necro have 3 damage types phys. fire and poison but need atleast 3 ber runes to be somewhat good). Day two/three of ladder you are able to do all the content in the game when the rest of the characters struggle to farm Pits and Nih for some keys or drops.

its to low runes for that crazy runeword - should been like - Mal + Gul + Zod!

Zod would change that a bit, not everyone running around with it.

You think its overpowered now ?? Wait till next season when the Next Delay Bug is fixxed. It will be 10 times the power of a Hammerdin build … As of now u only get half the damage the build can do …

If it’s too cold in the room, you turn the thermostat up 2 degrees.
Not 200.

No. My assassin torches finally trade.

there’s a difference between making a class “more appealing” and completely overtune it to the level where it literally blows up the screen so hard that it blinds the player and causes epileptic seizures.

its like saying “this hand grenade is not very appealing, lets switch it out for a nuclear bomb”.

the NHD changes have a severely large impact on Mosiac, so Mosiac needs to be toned down, and it needs its runecost to be much higher even if that is done.
Gul and Mal are too easy to get for a runeword this bloody powerful.
either Mal or Gul needs to be changed to Ber or Jah.

The problem is only that this runeword changes the character from being garbage to being completely OP, also the entire gameplay shifts.

Image that for other classes. Put a OHM into the Poison Necro and +500% damage are added. This is Diablo3 style.

Blizzard is doing its usual self and nerfing the assassin skill tree instead of the broken runeword

where did you hear this?

Except gul runes can be found from the hell forge quest. Putting that much power behind a quest rune throws the economy out of wack for the first week and gives sins too much of an edge. Hell i had an ebotdcb and edeathcs by day 2 on my barb and mosiac sins were destroying faster with only 2 gul investment while i had 2x vex, 1 gul, 1 zod

Frankly they should shift the charge retention off of mosaic, bake it into the skills, only allow one type of charge at a time to get rid of screen clutter, and adjust from there.

Mosaic doesn’t bother me. I actually thought it was a good addition because MA is by far the least appreciated skill tab out of all the characters… my PCs + Switch don’t generally go through any frame drops, it certainly ain’t like Shenk…

Even if they buffed them for S4 who cares… unless you’re getting carried in a group, as a SSF player MA sins are very inefficient as your firsr char… still much better to start with Sorc or FoH, farm all that you need, maybe build a horker and then you can pretty much get everything for Mosaic and whatever else so what is the problem here? If Mosaic was as cheap as Spirit and equippable early on then yes that is overboard… as is, I just see it as a real alternative for SSF players versus being feeling forced to play hammerdins/smiters as this forum has cried about since day 1…
