Hi,
I made an effort finally to try out the assassin class… OMG, if Mosaic is OP then fire traps too. I simply love the fact that finally, I am not stationary during combat, I can just run around and avoid archers, hits, etc. I blasted through Normal on P8, finished NM almost always on P8 and I have not even changed to Lightning yet because I had good enough gear to push through. Currently on 79 after some quick levelling in NM TZ zones.
I have everything for dual mosaic and really keen to even try taking it through hell.
I tried looking for videos, guides, read everything I found but hardly any streamer plays on controller so I don’t have a clue about the gameplay. Why so many buttons/skill mapping needed, what these charge up skill alike?
I get the idea that you switch to a chargeup skill like you switch pally auras, use your claws to hit mobs to get charges then release those with kicks. But there is number of chargeup skills and charge levels too, number of finisher moves, some do life leach, some don’t, some only release 1 charge, others more, totally confused.
Can this be explained easily here or I should just try and figure out myself?
Thanks
Charge up skills are not like auras. They are attacks, that each get their own button. The attacks only build up charges, they don’t release them. With Dual mosaics you never lose them from releasing them, you will only lose them from inactivity.
For gameplay you will go up to single enemy, Phoenix Strike them 1-3 times, blades of ice 3 times, claws of ice 3 times, and anything else you plan on using to building charges. Once your charges are going you just attack with a finishing move to release all of them at once, and try not to go too long without attacking enemies or you will lose charges and have to start over.
Great thanks… I misphrased the pally auras, I meant that it is similar in a sense that I have to keep on switching between them depending on what I want to do, they are not like passive skills you just allocate points to, you need button binding for them and use them.
Okay, so I want cold/lightning combo, I would switch to blades of ice, hit few times until charge is ready, then switch to claws of thunder, hit few times until lightning charge ready. Then I have to attack mobs in every ~10sec with dragon talon to avoid losing charges which releases both ice/lightning built up charges at the same time?
If so, thanks but what is phoenix strike? It looks like an all-in-in charge up skill for everything?
Phoenix Strike has a fire, lightning, or and ice ability depending on how many charges you’ve built up.
Aside from that, it’s a must have because it both gives and receives synergies from the other skills in the tree.
