Alright so I’m having great luck with runes and some equipment depending on when I’m farming. I did however come across somethjng that caught my eye and I’m going to try out and share my results. So while rune farming in LK there’s all those armour stands and what not. I noticed that certain ones like just to the North of the little super chest camps there is always an armour stand. So maps you will have 2 camps thus, 2 stands. If you continue to go to one stand over and over it will changes quite frequently. However if there is 2 stand it seems certain things spawn at them very frequently. My first stands were wire fleece and ancient shield. If you do them the others way around I had different results, a sallet and war boots.
My second set (cause I ended up screwing up my maps and started a new game on normal by accident) turned out to be serpentskin armour and scutum. If I did them in reverse I got demonhide boots and war hat.
So on the first batch I did end up getting a radament sphere and rock stopper, I noticed on the second set there was a rhyme to the reason. I did finally get my skin of viper magi (a few infact) and I got a few storm chasers. Now… that being said I have seen gilded shield at the stand before, I just never figured this out till this morning. I’m thinking it is quite possible to farm those stands while farming supercheats for an eventual HOZ. If you have other info please share it. That being said here’s my question. Where will I find vortex shields most frequently. Something tells my act five crystalline passage but any info would help.

for sure in act5 probably anywhere in act5, i dropped my hoz in nightmare mephisto , and my question about lower Kurast is , im on console ps4 , i run alot of private game online , does that affect my runes drop ? cause after 100 run , i dropped 1 tir rune , from a corpse dead body thing … nothing from super chests ever
I would have to say (and I’m no expert) that you should be in hell of course p5 or p7 which is better for amount of loot and I’ve never had luck on p8 for good loot or runes but maybe it’s me.
Super chests… they are a chore. Trouble is if you play online the map is always different and it becomes a chore finding the super chests. I have found a mal and a ist online before in those super chests but it took forever. Easiest way to do it unfortunately would be single player so your map doesn’t change unless you change you difficulty and just find a map with the little camps closet together and close enough to the waypoint and just run those chests over and over leaving out everything that isn’t on your path as it takes time away from rush looting unless you at purposely magic finding.

The armor stands are quite consistent AND tend to be good drops for me. I’m superstitious and feel like LK maps dry up after about 100 runs, so I frequently re-roll maps on single player. From those armor stands I have found IK belt and helm, Laying of Hands, Chance Guards, several Spirit Shrouds, two 4-socket Archon Plates (one superior), and a few other goodies I’m forgetting. They tend to drop the same 2 - 3 items until you reroll, so if you see a white base item drop that has a desirable unique/set counterpart, just keep running that map. It’ll drop eventually. It did for my Laying of Hands and Archon Plates.
I’ve gotten a few laying of hands as well there. Chancies, a gheeds, tearhaunch greaves, war traves, the ones I’ve named, a few raven frost, a carrion wind, a couple negal rings, tals belt and mask, griswalds heart, guardian angel, alders gaze rhyme and armour… sooooo much more. Plus I’m the last month alone 2 ist, 1Lo, 1sur, 2 mal, 7 um, 5 lem, and 1 vex.
Having absolutely GARBAGE luck with LK for runes. I’ve come across a good amount of +skills grand charms, plenty of gems, and a decent amount of other stuff, but runes I’m struggling with.
I’ve been running Andy and Pits the past two days and having some really good luck there for runes.
4 Ko, 3 Fal, 2 Lem, 2 Gul (accidentally put one into a damn socketed Gladius; don’t drink and D2R, kids), a Vex, and a Sur in approximately 100 runs.
I am fully expecting a month long drought after this insane stretch of luck though!
Haha I feel ya I’m on a bit of a drought right now with a few lems and fals and a couple um. Then I decided to try my luck on p8. I got enough tal,thul,ort,amn combos to make a bajillion spirits but that was it. So I went back to p7 and got a fal. I have dropped a rune in the wrong equipment before and it damn near destroyed me. I traded everything I had at that time for the ber rune for my enigma. And I plopped it In a shield with 4 empty sockets right beside it by accident. I put down the game for a while after that hahaha. I’ve lately just been running LK for the last week to see what happens before I just back to bishiboshi, pit, Andy, meph, tragical, CS and bloody foot hills to eldrich. I did fine a ton of stuff doing those runs, and my first 2 vex within 2 days of each other. How much mf you running with and on what player/? I have 240 right now on my Pali as I had to make a couple sacrifices for skill points (switched from skulders to vipermagi for res, and my 30mf nagels for my bk and soj and 6 of my 7mf sc’s for 2 combat skill charms.)
on console we dont have the playerx option , we gotta join a game with randoms and the only game with people are the baal runs , and they already cleared everything so getting a p8 in console in online forget that , whats the best option or rune in online private game ?
Not Always sometimes I join an empty game and in about 5 or so mins it starts filling up . Only a few where everything in wsk is done but u can easily go farm somewhere else quick
yeah at p3 p4… rarely at p7 p8
I run LK on p7 and have about 335% MF. If I’m being lazy I’ll run Pits and Andy on p3 or p5. I’m still working on my endgame gear, so clearing mobs isn’t necessarily a seedrun for me as the players get higher.

Alright, hers an update. This week has been incredibly profitable and eye opening.
Yes, you most certainly can farm the repeating items on the armour and weapon stands if you know the patterns in which they will appear. Today I found my hoz farming the armour stands in the big complex’s. They operate the same as the ones north of the superchest camps. Right now I’m working on farming an arachnids mesh, I’m just working out the fine details to make it appear most often.
I found in my case and maybe every case I’m not sure, that the time in which it took me to get there and the time it took me to get from the waypoint to it after hitting the other armour stands counted. And I figured it out perfect for a gilded shield every run. I have to be there between 4 and 4 1/2 min for it to pop up. Regardless it worked and I’m happy. Hopefully it works for who ever else try’s. I’ve only started this pattern this week.
This week I have found 3 pul, 8 lem, 2 um, 1 Cham, 1 Gul, 1 sur, 1 Lo, storm shield, hoz, another BK and 6 skill charms, 2 of them pali def.
That being said, guess where I found the gul, Cham, Lo and sur? Baskets… all from baskets in LK. Not one hr from a superchest. The rest came from logs and chests. KICK THEM BASKETS MAN. KICK THEM LIKE THEY OWE YOU MONEY!!
There is nothing better than smashing baskets, barrels, pots, and finding Runes and Uniques.
How crazy are racks though?

Monsters near the rack alter the drop? What!? 
I’m having the damnedest time with LK currently. The “superchests” are hardly feeling super. Even on /players 7, they’re dropping 1 - 2 blue items and wimpy assortments of potions and scrolls. A week or so back my screen would FILL with items when the chests popped; even if they weren’t desirable, it was a lot of items. Now I’m lucky to see a handful at best.
What I am noticing now, though? Corpses, baskets, and LK mobs are dropping the loot. Not always good stuff, but tons of it. Runes included.
A peculiar scenario, but RNGesus works in mysterious ways.
Infact I have noticed what drops from the rack changes when there is a group around it. For instance the first one I hit is north of the only superchest camp in my map (I chose a game with close waypoints to Andy and meph rather then superchest pattern) drops a hydra skull but will a group around it, it is either boots or a bassinet. The second one drops either a monarch with a group around it or protector shield with no one around it, and The main one with the gilded shield… if the is no group it’s a gilded shield. But if there is a group it’s either a spiderweb sash or a troll nest. Such fine details when trying to decipher the patterns or if there is a pattern. It’s like with meph and Andy. The quicker you can get to them, the better chances of the loot aswell as the faster you kill them the better. Hell by trying to figure all this out though I’ve made serious bank.
3 tals Ammys over the last 3 days too, I think I just need tals armour now.
Now that I have my hoz and all my charms and gear without a torch or anni cause I don’t have them yet and pindleskin doesn’t like to drop me dkeys, I’m at level 36 hammers and 34 concentration with 10k hammers plus mercy might aura and fully maxed and upped res. Because of the few charms I have and the crappy gold wrap I wear(till I get arachnids mesh) I’m still at 120 mf and finding lots off good stuff because of the speed in which I kill. I will keep you updated as I figure out more of this stuff.
