What other ilvl 85 areas would you like to see in 2.4?
I would like them to make the cave in cold plains a high level area along with the crypts in the graveyard. Both are rarely travelled side areas. Tristram would also make for a fun farming spot. The tower cellar would be really cool to farm as well if they upped it.
In act 2 halls of the dead don see use in hell, it could be bumped up. I would love to see the false tombs made into ilvl 85 areas. Theres a wide range of immunes in them and it would bring group farming to hell. Tomb runs are always fun in normal they would be great in hell. I think this would be a good move for the health of the community.
The great marsh could provide a challenging area to farm as well if it was upped, itâs rarely used. Itâs pretty much just a side area as is.
Nilathaks temple might be a cool area if it was increased as well. It rarely sees play since the quest there is easily avoidable. It would add a bit more to farming keys.
Ideally I would like to see the monster density increased in all of the new ilvl 85 areas as well.
I just donât see how itâs fun to have everything 85. There needs to be incentive to visit different areas rather than just its level, otherwise itâs another form of powercreep.
Hereâs how I see it. There are 3 variables - level, difficulty and density. Level 85 cannot be easy and dense. It can be empty and easy (mausoleum), or dense and difficult and spawn every immunity (worldstone keep). Level 82 should can be relatively easy and dense and never spawn one or two of the immunities (slow melee monsters, almost like cows but a bit less dense). Need to fill in levels 83 and 84 in between.
Just for reference, area levels 82+ can drop zod runes and tc87 items. They are just limited by unique item levels.
I would like a reason to visit false tal rasha tombs, they are level 80 at the moment. Upping them to 82 or 83 would be nice
But any area not essential for the walkthrough are good for me. When you get to act IV & V itâs alright the River and WS are 85, but when you just finish NM and you cannot avoid an area 85 I am not sure. I like when level 85 area make me go somewhere I will normally skip.
An Inferno level will make you go on area of the walkthrough but after you killed hell Baal, it will be nice
Act 2 all tal rashas tombs except for duriel quest tomb.
If people want just the duriel tomb, then arcane sanctuary needs to be 85 as well since youâd have to complete that in order to know which tomb is the 85.
I believe the non quest tombs would be the better option.
Merge Nm and Normal into one difficulty - culminating with level 70ish at the end.
Make Nm what Hell is now.
Make Hell a constant level 85 or 88 area, solely for exping, farming and getting owned.
I thought of this idea before, but I am not sure I like it. It takes away the point of having side areas like the pit/ancient tunnels/etc.
I think adding even more ilvl 85 areas and doubling/tripling the champion/unique mob count from 4-6 to 10 -15 could be a great addition. I am open to an end-game adventure mode or something as well, if it is done right.
Iâve always felt that any area that you had to access via separate entrance (ie not an area you can instantly waypoint to) should be level 85. Places like the Hole or even the Crypt, I donât see any good reason to not buff them. It would make public magic find games actually fun, as opposed to popping in and wasting a minute and a half just to find out that the five areas worth clearing have already been hit by someone else.
