A very strange problem is occurring while playing. It’s like the monitor loses the signal, I can hear the music and the keyboard is not blocked, but the monitor is completely black and the power light is blinking, unfortunately I have to force restart my PC to get the image back on the monitor.
I have games like Cyberpunk 2077, Horizon Forbidden West, Baldurs Gate 3, etc. installed on my PC and the same thing doesn’t happen with any of them.
Checking in the event viewer, a kernelbase.dll error is recorded at the moment the monitor signal is lost, but doing a scan in cmd with sfc /scannow no problem is detected.
I have seen some reports about the signal loss and the kernelbase.dll error from 2021 and 2022, but none of them give a solution.
Check temperatures of your equipment most likely: #1 Your CPU overheats ( requires better cooling) #2 Your GPU overheats ( requires better cooling) #3 you have too weak PSU and causes above issues
Despite D2R not looking very shiny it requires a lot of calculating power as it renders beyond just the visible screen like all the other games you posted do. given it’s hot outside due to summer… bruh… the above might add up, causing your pc to lock up… You actually should be glad it locks up instead fo damaging itself, it’s a preventic measurement…
The game doesn’t crash, nor does my PC crash, just the monitor signal is lost. Background sounds are heard and the keyboard is still functional. But I have to force restart with the power button on the tower because I can’t see anything.
I checked the temperatures before posting here, and during the few minutes I can play the CPU temperature doesn’t go above 45° and the GPU doesn’t go above 65°.
