Found MB to be pretty bad unless its able to go through the enemies. Seems that blowing up on them does less damage then rolling over them.
Personally I’d rather rock Hoto for the faster tele, an a BK ring, with Act 2 infinity merc, and just run the standard Fire druid max. MB is balls for every enemy you can’t knock back.
One trip into CS with that and you’ll regret it. I mean Firestorm is already by far your best boss killer. On my fire Druid it’s honestly hard to even justify using MB in a lot of cases. Arcane/Maggot lair are about the use cases really and it tickles bosses that would die in 3 firestorms.
HOTOs FCR is pointless for MB becouse of 1 skill per second cap. I tested a bit, high FCR static merc and its fun.
I think CS is the worst idea for testing fire builds. MB can Knockback small and medium targets. Thats the majority of moobs. Arcane is a greate place to farm runes and ive seen Maggot Lair actually has good drops.
I was more advocating against the pure MB build idea in general. I’ve used it a fair bit as a full fire Druid build before, and with pretty much the guy you had listed with a few exceptions it’s pretty poor. The gear differences being hoto instead of phoenix, infinity on merc, ravenlore with a fire facet, and a fair bit more +skills in general mostly from charms/bks.
Ultimately it’s one fo the weaker skills fire druid has access to, and it’s usefulness falls of a cliff about the time you get your full build rocking.
I mean you still use it, but the idea of only using it sounds a bit painful to me. I personally found the vast majority of my damage coming from Armageddon and firestorm, followed by fissure for moving enemies, volcano for stationary types and molten bolder generally being a situational. I’m sure you could farm a number of places fine with it, but ultimately it’s just going to be slower than a full fire build, and tele kind slow.
I mean I can’t say much, I’m derping around a fend Zon atm lol. Was just a warning if you planned to invest heavy into it that it might not be quite what you were hoping.
This is a pretty old one, so not exactly sure where I was at on that build at the time.
