Mod for inventory space increase in single player

Will this mod get me banned? Are quality of life mods in general allowed for single player?

Yes maybe…U’ll be block ur admin.

As long as you don’t join any multiplayer games (you should be fine if you accidently connect to the lobby) you’re good to go with mods. You won’t get banned.

I’m using this ones:

And no, as they are solely single player there is no risk of being banned. Well, they don’t even work in multiplayer, visually your inventory is bigger, but the extra space is not usable.

Ok, thanks for the responses. I like this game a lot and I am single player at this time so looks like I’m good to go.

Back in the day single player players used an external program called GoMule to act as an extended stash. Can store infinite items if you want. And doesn’t require to mod the game.

You probably know already but GoMule was updated for D2R as well. Saying it for anyone unaware.

At the top there’s a link for ā€œResurrected Downloadā€, very useful program for single player muling.

I wonder which one is the more easy to install and use? Gomule or Nexus mod?

I’d say the mods, as they integrate with your game. However, unlocking 6th and 7th stash tab is a bit tricky, you need to read thoroughly how to do that.
Also, there are few mods for increasing inventory and stashes, see whose of them you like more.

Yeah these folks need to learn how to do instructions. Doesn’t work so far.

Well, apart of having to unlock all 7 stashes, the process is fairly straightforward. With what do you have problems mate?

Thanks for trying t help, I appreciate.

If I follow Nexus instructions, they write to create a Mods folder in what appear to be C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II Resurrected (as seen in the video)

Also, they write about a Expanded folder but the folder I’ve donloaded is ExpendedStash.

So is this path right:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II Resurrected\Mods\ExpandedStash
?
thanks

These mods use Diablo 2 Resurrected Mod Manager, so 1st you’ll need this one:
https://www.nexusmods.com/diablo2resurrected/mods/169
See the D2RMM description.

Once done you can download all mods compatible with D2RMM, in our case it is Expanded Inventory. Do as they wrote, and unpack Expanded Inventory into ā€˜mods’ folder, but not the one in D2R folder, but the one in D2RMM.

Note however that save files are not compatible, but you can copy your existing unmodded characters into mods subfolder, and continue playing them.

Its honestly better to avoid mod manager.

I’ve been an offline player for years and Gomule was exactly what you would need. It basically has an infinitive storage and you can create ā€œstashesā€ to keep items separate.
There’s a filter option which helps you finding exactly what you want. If you have a stash with 350 rare rings you can just filter it to show only rings with 10% FCR that you have stored.

Gomule doesn’t need any installation, it just needs java to work. You download it, you open it and it works. It doesn’t modify the game by any means and doesn’t offer any modifications to your characters so you can stay legit as an offline player.

Without using mods for extra space I was able to move my D2 legacy characters to D2R!

There’s a D2R Gomule version as well BUT I need to warn you that some D2R patches break the compatibility with Gomule. Silospen always provides us a new version when needed but you need to go through a procedure to move these items to your characters, open them in the game so they are converted to the new version. Currently, this is a pain to do every time such a patch is released but there’s no other way around it. Obviously, we didn’t have this issue in D2 Legacy.

But for anyone interested I could help you with it.

Does this game have a plugy mod yet? I haven’t played single player or kept up on mods for this.
But yeah single player I’d want more space too. Having unlimited stash with plugy made it a lot better

PlugY is unfortunately not possible in D2R because it requires hardcode modding (.dll edits), D2R only allows softcode mods.

There’s a couple mods out there that increase the stash/cube/inventory size and increase the amount of shared stash tabs to 7 total, but that’s all that can be done with softcode mods unless if there’s any new developments which is unlikely.

There’s also a hardcoded 8 KB save file limit that applies to your character and personal stash, if you pass this limit then items will be randomly deleted until you’re below the limit. Shared stash tabs also have this limit but it’s on a per-tab basis so it’s not as problematic. The file size limit should’ve been increased ages ago, lots of people have lost items to it. :frowning_with_open_mouth:

I’d suggest GoMule, it’s not as convenient as PlugY since you have to fully close out D2R to use it and occasionally updates will cause the compatibility to break. You won’t lose items but you’ll have to wait for Silospen to update it then you’d have to manually transfer items between GoMule versions which is a major pain if you have lots of items. Certainly beats character mules in my opinion though.

Ok was able to install it. What’s not abvious is there are 2 places where teh game is and save files are elsewhere.

Unfortunatly, I can see my first stared stash stuff but not the items in the 3 others (I did refresh mods list)…
