Mobs not synced with the server

I am constantly getting melee hit by mobs that are clearly across the screen in my client but the server thinks are standing right next to me. This is also affecting my mercenary as I can visibly watch him melee attack mobs on the other side of the screen. The mobs don’t rubber band or anything like you normally see with a lag spike, just straight up my game displaying mobs in a different place than the server thinks they are.

This is also affecting area affect spells like frozen orb. If I cast a frozen orb in the general direction of a desynced mob it will not take damage. I have to physically click on the mob to get frozen orb to damage a desynced mob.
