Shortly, I died in the Chaos sanctuary, relogged to be able to take my body, but my shield was missing. Perhaps this is normal and should motivates us to play more and get better items I guess.
Let me guess, your shield is a monarch with 156 strength required and you don’t naturally meet this requirement, only by using the strength form other equipment. Then the first click on the body will get you all your items but the shield and then - once you meet the 156 strength required, the second click on your body gets you your shield.
So just click twice 
Yes, it is a monarch, but after I took my body, there was nothing left. I was in a game with a friend so I searched the whole map after that, but the item was missing, not that I couldn`t get it from the ground.
Is it maybe on your second weapon slot? Key “w” to switch.
Nope, already checked the inventory and everything else.
There have been many cases of items just vanishing.

Sorry for your loss… At least it was only a shield, but right now at any moment you could lose some or all of your data.
I’m hoping they fix it sooner than later… but we’ll see.
