Really disappointed with removing of normal difficulty stats advantage. That was fun quest to level him up to get that minor buff. And now this mechanics gonna be removed. Sad.
Edit: just found that it was already changed long time ago, so 2.4 change is fine.
what are you talking of? mercs level when hired is adapted to yours.

Mercenaries from hell difficulty now will have same stats as mercenaries from normal difficulty.
yeah but you dont need to level them, when you hire one they are in a ±5 level range of you. though i wonder if they changed the baselevel for hell mercs…one trick in lvl 9 pking was that merc had lvl 17 aura and lvl 22 jab at lvl 8/9. only very little people knew about that.
I love the merc balances, I already have a good idea for both act 1 merc and act 3 mercs, it’s going to be hella fun for me.
im a bit fearful for a3 skill changes. no masteries/few synnergies will only give them around 1k-2k damage. and that with godly gear. static will be usefull, enchant might only be a little boost though. lvl 20 does around 100-200 damage and 191% ar. if you plan on making an enchanted summoner, it won’t be better than might

You are right, but my thinking is, getting the fire act 3 merc, with the new flickering flame, he comes with enchant, but also, I will equip him with other aura giving items.
I’m not suggesting that it’ll be ‘pwned’ material, well, not until it’s fully equipped, but I just like the idea of finding effective niche builds.
