In Spider Forest on nightmare. Merc gets stuck on the wrong side of the water. He stops and stays there. He doesn’t look for a route back to me. When I get far enough away, he does not port back to me. When I go back to him, he is there but motionless and does not respond. I can open his inventory but he is nonresponsive. This has happened twice so far. The only way to make him work again is to port back to town.

This happens to me on every single map in the game. I go through a whole tome of town portals every couple hours on JUST getting my merc back, and following.
