Mercenary stats not being calculated correctly to equip items

When attempting to equip an item on a Mercenary, the game is only using the base stats of the Mercenary to check if the item can be used, it is not using the full stats. For example, if you want to use a body armor that requires 100 Strength and the Mercenary only has 100 Strength due to buffs from its helmet or weapon, the body armor cannot be equipped. This bug even extends to items that have been altered with a reduced requirements Jewel or Hel rune. In the attached image you can see that my Mercenary has a base Strength of 178 and the modified Rattlecage should only need 177 Strength, but the Mercenary is not allowed to equip the item. An additional quirk with this particular case is that if I put the armor on the Mercenary it is marked red indicating it cannot be used, but if I reload the game it is correctly colored as being in use, unless I take it off and try to put it back on.
[EDIT : I have a picture, but Blizzard doesn’t allow attachments/inserted images?]

-Requirements don’t work on mercs. You can upload your pictures to an external picture host and post the link here.

Btw my merc has no problems with wearing items. He gets his strength through a Amethyst in his Helm. And can wear his cv.

It worked in original D2, it’s a bug in D2R that needs fixed.
