I can’t access my mercenary! Pressing ‘O’ does nothing, I have a bow I’d like to give her but can’t get it to her.
you can also drop it on her face on the top left of the screen. Sure it doesn’t fix the bug but it might help you out giving her the bow 
First obvious question, is she alive. If not resurrect them first.
Same issue. Tried pressing “O” and dragging to merc icon, but no dice.
Update: updating to expansion character resolves the issue (apparently can’t outfit, potion, or revive merc in pre-expansion mode)
Same Problem for me. In addition I cant revive the merc.
I found at least my problem. The character was in “classic mode”. You can convert the character in the selection in the bottom right corner.

Something similar has happened to me a few times. ‘O’ wouldn’t open her inventory, and esc wouldn’t open the menu. After I clicked on the button in the UI to open the menu, everything seemed to work again.
@fenkid yup! upgraded and confirming I was able to open stats. Guess it was just an expansion feature.
