*** Merc recommendations for Javazon

Prolly not the right section, but I don’t post anywhere else on the Forums…

With the intro of Sunder charms, Act2 Merc with Infinity isn’t a must have anymore…

  1. Do you guys think something like an Act1 (Faith in a Double/Great Bow?) or Act5 Merc (Lawbringer) would work better?
  2. Any other weapon recommendations?

If mana isn’t an issue for you then go with act 5 merc

It’s not a must have to start out but I think Infinity still BiS on the high end.

If you’re starting out, Sazabi set is also worth checking out. Lawbringer is also great. Insight is still tried and true. IMO if you’re spending HRs on faith then it’s no longer budget and hard to justify vs infinity. Plague can be nice as a stepping stone but I’d still prefer to save the runes up for an infinity

Plague is theoretically good with lower resistance.
However, Since a javazone is running all the time, I don’t think a act 5 merc has many occasions to attack…

If you want your merc to stay alive then use last wish and plague

Assuming a pride a2 merc wouldnt benefit you? Im a huge fan of a5 merc with Last wish and plague as teemo stated. Or lawbring and last wish.

I top up abit here.
If use act 5 merc,
As per what teemo mentioned of plague and last wish, i remember someone told me the survivability of merc have to focus on reduce monster elemental dmg. So since alot monster in d2 deals elemental dmg especially ubers. Best to get them max resist. I am not sure if a combi of eth guardian angel with um rune and a life leech circlet 3 socket with cham and 2x ias/ed jewel would be a better choice for the merc.
